Guest guest
There are 10,000 sites for flushing stones but very few about dissolving. Each person also has their own preferences that they are drawn to, for instance, I have NOT YET gone to the Chinese Tradtional System, but I think I SHOULD have added that one, or really I think I should have started there.TCM sees the condition as DAMP HEAT and they know exactly what to do for that condition. a 5000+ year old plan, in fact. I am following the work found on the Chang website. I think I'd go acupuncture, herbs and their diet if starting over. Anyway here's what worked for me. I don't know what worked nor what I could have skipped. I think it ALL worked. It may sound extreme, but you have no idea of how much I distrust doctors and hospitals (I also have no health insurance) and how much I hate being sick and vulnerable. To me, surgical penetration is like some kind of body rape. I will go to extremes to avoid it (if alternatives exist). This whole thing hit me like a baseball bat to the forehead. Pain works for me! I think I am now far healthier than I have been in decades. 1) Raw organic apple juice 3-5 times a day with 50 drops of hydrangia tincture (HerbPharm) in each glassful. I did this for a month and then stopped the hydrangia for a while. I'm back on it now for another month following the passage of a bunch of stones. I think a new batch of rocks may come in from the liver when you move some out. Fortunately, it's delicious. 2) Gradually increased my daily intake of raw butter, raw milk and cream, meat fats, fatty fish (grilled or sushi), organic coconut oil (2 tbsp/day), and other good fats. Also 2 tbsp flavored cod liver oil a day. It pays to go slow with this if you are not used to it. I eat about a half stick of raw butter a day with my food. Incidentally, all this kind of good fat will cause you to naturally lose a ton weight. 3) Enzymes. Lots of them. I use Tymezyme and take 3 capsules before meals and at bedtime. If I am inflammed, I double the amount. 4) Stone Free (Planetary Formulas) 2 tabs 3X/day, it's tumeric, dandelion root, gravel root, ginger and others. I've recently replaced this with the Chinese combo GB-6 (Health Concerns). Contains 6 different herbs, mainly curcuma, corydalis, dandelion and melia root. Again, off the Chang site. I will soon add her Gold Coin Grass tea as well. 5) Bio-Cyanidins (Biotics Research) 2 tabs 3X/day. Pycnogenol and Grape seed extract. 6) Vitamin C. I use an Ester C with bioflavinoids and rutins. 2-3 grams/day. I also took my normal multi-vitamins and minerals. 7) DIET: Stopped all fried foods, super-spicy foods, raw onions, coffee (that one is up to you, I switched to a barley, dandelion, chicory mix), most sugary desserts, and cut down on the bread. I upped the meat, dairy, salads (big time) and vegetables. I focused on beets, carrots, root vegetables like turnips and rutebagas, and lots of greens. I try to get wheat grass as often as possible (powerful!) and drink good water all day long. If there is any hint of an attack I fast for several days, water only. I make a fat smoothie every day consisting of raw milk, raw cream, eggs, coconut oil, fruit and spices. 8) I needed to move the chi so I work out for an hour every day. For a variety of the usual excuses, I had quit exercising. I had busted a knee in '02 that laid me up and set up the groundwork for the sludging of my liver, et.al. Mostly recumbent bicycle, swimming, Nautilus machines, walking, and stretching exercises. I try to make it aerobic as possible. I take a long hot tub soak daily. There can be no good cure without the exercise part. 9) Weight loss. I had a gut which I lost. I think excess food clogging the whole body is why Americans have so many problems. Something has to blow when you chronically put too much gasoline into the carburetor. There can be no good cure if you are fat. 10) Stress management. This was the hardest. I have a hard time sitting still so I relied on the exercise to help with breathing (you can breathe your way out of---or into--- just about any attack!), yoga, hot tubbing, meditation, letting go, I quit following the news of the administration (that was big in why I got sick, I think) and dropped some publications and websites. The castor oil hot packs slow you down and give you an opportunity to relax, slow down, and enjoy it. I made Sleepy Time tea and drank gallons of chamomile tea. When really stressed I would take Rescue Remedy (a god send!). A bit of red wine helped too. Laughing is one of the best of all cures. I am curious what others have used that I left out. Seems like I learn something new every day. Will
