Hi , Thanks...right after I posted my email (the one you responded to), I got another one from Standard Bank with the same subject header I just sent the group, thus: Subj: Another auto-response. Date: 4/15/2004 10:58:57 AM Eastern Standard Time From: Autoresponses@... momazmat@... Received from Internet: click here for more information So, nah, it's not a virus...it's just an autoresponse from that bank, as it says in their " from " box. Someone that has subscribed to this group has their email set to send out this automated message each time they get an email. Blessings, n. Guest guest
I have received one each time I posted to the group and I went and checked out the bank last Saturday. I then wrote to information@... and they sent me a copy of my first post I sent here and suggested I had a virus. I informed them they must be on the group if they are getting my message as my computer has no virus anywhere at all. I'm not sure the email person at the bank is understanding it's a mail list. ----- Original Message ----- From: momazmat@... gallstones Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 10:57 AM Subject: Another auto-response. Hi Guys, It's happening again with another " auto-response " (below). I'm sure it's no biggy, but each time I've posted to the gallstones group, in the last few days, I've been getting the exact same response minutes later. Does someone in the group email from work at Standard Bank? Is there a way for you to shut off this auto-response? Thanks!!! Guest guest
Hi n! I was going to ask if anyone else here was getting it since the reply I received had my gallstone message attached but that's when the messages were about the Govenor's office sending them and I wasn't getting those at all. How strange. Maybe the Standard Bank which BTW is in Africa can turn off the responder or set up an account to receive the group mail that isn't going directly through their banks intranet? I got another one after replying to your message. ----- Original Message ----- From: momazmat@... gallstones Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 11:48 AM Subject: Re: Another auto-response. Guest guest
Hopefully I have this account removed now. It was a bit hidden but I believe as an acronym it was pretty much filling the bag as to whom it was. Dale
