Guest guest
>>>Maybe the Standard Bank which BTW is in Africa can turn off the responder or set up an account to receive the group mail that isn't going directly through their banks intranet? I got another one after replying to your message. <<< Hey ....yeah, that's a possibility, though I'm wondering if the person whose account is sending this automated response is not currently in their office. When my husband is traveling and I email him, I get his out-of-office automated email with info on how to contact him, too. Pretty funny. So, either what you suggest, or maybe the group moderator could block that particular email address without actually booting off the member? They may even be bouncing at site... The address to block is: Autoresponses@... Thanks! Blessings, n
Guest guest
Hi n, I replied to the auto responder address to let them know the emails weren't from bank customers, but a group and maybe they could find a way to not send them out to us! LOL When I got the first one I was worried someone had used my email address to sign up for a credit card or something and that is was possible identity theft! I was sure relieved when they wrote back with a copy of my gallstone message! I'm sure alot of business' don't allow or hotmail type of web accounts for personal mail so the people who have the customer auto replies have to use their regular work account mail. That's a good idea that if they're bouncing to block the addy anyway. Probably someone's going to be surprised when they get back if they're on vacation and aren't bouncing! Hey, maybe they took some time off to do a flush! Well, happy " F " Day if so! *smiles* ----- Original Message ----- From: momazmat@... gallstones Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2004 12:53 PM Subject: Re: automated responses >>>Maybe the Standard Bank which BTW is in Africa can turn off the responder or set up an account to receive the group mail that isn't going directly through their banks intranet?
