Guest guest
Hi: I would like to here from as many of you as possible. Is the following statement by my gastroenterologist a myth or fact? He said, if I don't have the laproscopic surgery on my gallbladder, I run the risk of one of the many small stones I have blocking the pancreatic duct or another and this would cause an emergency and possibly would be life threatening. Then I would have to have the old style full abdominal surgery. Thanks for your reply. Tina
Guest guest
Hi Tina, Here's my opinion. Hope you get several more. From his frame of reference, he's really saying without flushing and with out surgery you run risks of things worse than the surgery in time. He would believe that flushing is at best useless and more likely dangerous, since they didn't tell him otherwise in medical school. He if he's like most gastroenterologists he doesn't believe the facts that many people have avoided surgery by flushing without complications. So, I agree with what he is saying when it's combined with what he thinks but doesn't say. Now: If he knew anything about the efficacy of flushing and the much LOWER risk of flushing he'd be guiding you on the best flush procedure he could find and helping you keep your gall bladder and avoid all complications. The complications he knows about are from stones in your ducts which can't get out. Get them out of your ducts (like you can with flushing) and there's no problem. Combine that with a diet/lifestyle that avoids making stones and softens, dissolves, and removes them all the time and you have a good plan Vince --- In gallstones , " tinacap777 " <tinacap777@y...> wrote: > Hi: I would like to here from as many of you as possible. Guest guest
Hello Tina, Firstly, I don't know your full medical condition. Do you already have stones in your pancreatic duct or have you had stones in your pancreatic duct? If not this statement by your doctor could be equated to -Removing you uterus will prevent uterine cancer. -Avoiding breathing will prevent you from getting infected with the common cold. -Don't eat and you won't get food poisoning. ;) And as far as the open abdominal surgery - this is often the case whether or not you need an emergency surgery. It depends on your physical condition and whether or not you've had preious surgeries. > He said, if I don't have the laproscopic surgery on my gallbladder, I run the risk of one of > the many small stones I have blocking the pancreatic duct or another and this would cause > an emergency and possibly would be life threatening.
