Guest guest
Jann, You are not alone in getting replies from the Gov's office, as several others have attested to. Why would you have to cancel your membership of the group? Maybe there is a genuine reason why the gov's e-mail address has been loaded to receive our messages, someone quite correctly stated that gallstones aren't discriminatory <G> but whatever the reason I'm sure he is as capable of utilising his delete key for unwanted messages as you and I are ) The message for unsubscribing to this list is clearly noted at the bottom of every message so if his office is receiving the messages in error I'm sure he will be able to deal with it quickly. Guest guest
<<Hello to both members of the gallstone group and to the office of Gov. Tim Pawlenty, should the latter receive it, also. Two of my messages sent to the gallstone group have also gone to the governor of Minnesota, (not even my state!) Perhaps this is something someone needs to look into. Is this happening to anyone else? Are you getting thank you notes via email from Tim Pawlenty? Am I the only one? Certainly, this is not a topic with which I wish to share or burden the governor. If this continues, I will have to stop membership in the group, I fear!>> What I did is that I blocked that email address in my email program. That will bounce them back to the sender and I won't have to see them anymore, and, if there is some hanky panky going on in Minnesota perhaps that will help to straighten it out. Guest guest
To all concerned: Every time any of us send any response to this list it automatically goes to the Gov. address because his email address is signed up to this list. If you look at the headers of your email it shows the actual email address of the sender (you) and not just the list address. This causes any person sending email to automatically receive an automatic response from his address. So the person at the other end of the Governors address should remove any auto response or remove this address from this list. Chances are they will delete all these posts or read them as any other person who is interested in this subject. : ) G Murray P.S. Guest guest
I've noticed that the replys from the Governor stopped after the first two. I wonder if the problem, whatever it was, solved itself as soon as it started? It was most likely a government aid or someone with a job screening the governor's email who decided to subscribe to the list. Once they realized how the automatic response worked, they fixed it. Just a wild guess. Anyway, if it shows up again, I'm sure it can be fixed on the list end without any problem.
