Guest guest
Hello everyone, Haven't posted to this site in ages, although I have enjoyed the " viewing " lately! This might be a little lengthy, so sorry if I bore you. My history is that I had a wake-up call a couple of years ago when I ended up in hospital, via emergency ambulance, and spent Christmas there, was dosed up on morphine and the like and was told very little. Upon leaving, I was told I had gallstones and pancreatitis - the pancreatitis due to the stones blocking the duct. Apparently, according to the hospital consultant, you have a one in ten chance of dying when you suffer pancreatitis attacks. My local hospital is a very large, well known teaching hospital and so they were quite keen for surgery to take place to whip out the gb, but I declined - twice! I think I am viewed as being a bit of a crank. I sorted myself out initially with the good advice on this site and also Chinese medicine, herbs and supplements. I take a liver tonic with the usual stuff in (dandelion root, milk thistle, lecithin, barberry, turmeric, taurine, etc.) I have managed to reintroduce all sorts of previous trigger foods, I avoid dairy produce like the plague, generally eat ok but watch what I put in my body. Fortunately, for any worms which may be lurking inside my bod, I think I have a bad allergy to garlic (ended up in hospital one time after consuming it and had a positively unattractive rash all over me, couldn't breath, etc. T'was horrible!) I am having tests on Friday to confirm it. Previous to my gb attacks I lost a lot of weight relatively quickly, exercised like mad, eg; jogged, gym, had an emotional upheaval, etc. I had warning attacks which the doctor (three times) put down to indigestion! I garden and walk for exercise now as I got it into my head, quite unrationally, that I could end up with the pancreatitis again due to the fact that the stones could be jiggled down and block the duct again. I would love to jog again but this phobia blocks me. Pancreatitis pain is far, far worse than childbirth or gb pain! I have had a few gb attacks since the hospitalisation but have got through them . My problem at the moment is that I feel so tired and don't sleep well; I just wake up at around 4am (nothing to do with gb pain), am tired but can't get back to sleep until about 7am and this is playing havoc with family life. I feel zombie like, if you know what I mean? I haven't ever done a flush because of the pancreatitis (although very nice, my consultant says my stones are small, but, you've guessed it, the small ones are the worst. According to him, size does matter! ) He is another allopathic who doesn't believe in the flushes and natural ways of eliminating the little blighters from one's body. I am in the UK and don't know anyone else who has or had gallstones and is or has sorted them out with flushes and appropriate diet, etc. No-one I know has ever had pancreatitis because of gb problems. The stuff that you talk about ie medicines, kits, etc, I have no idea where to get from over here. Maybe I should emigrate to North America!! I know I am being a big baby and should just flush. I am worried if it goes wrong, triggers off the pancreatitis again. One attack is enough! I have kids and an elderly mum and don't want to spook them again as there is no-one else to take care of them - usual worries. Is there anyone out there who can set my mind at ease to go ahead with the next step and flush and so eliminate this tiredness? Sorry for the essay. Guest guest
, your letter was FAR from boring! As you may have read here, I was also hospitalized with the gallstone-induced pancreatitis and came close ot death during an 11 day trip to the ICU last fall. I too am a crank as I refused surgery (twice). I too am afraid to do a full-blown flush, for fear of dying of another pancreatic blockage. I too, still have the occasional GB attack so I know I'm not fully cured. SO, what I am doing is " all of the other things besides flushing " . My main theme is to regulate and stimulate the flow of healthy bile, cool down the gall bladder and DISSOLVE any existing stones. My main tools are diet modulation, exercise, fluid intake, herbs (including Chinese herbs), massage, weight loss, enzymes, vitamins, liver tonics and stress management. You are probably better off, medically-speaking, in the UK than here. At least no worse off and you should be capable of finding good help for this " chronic fatigue " issue. It's possible, even likely, that this malaise may NOT involve your liver-GB at all. I'd suggest starting with a good holistic doctor and a check-up for CANDIDIASIS (yeast infecttion) or other-sourced chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) illness. This is very common. I'm moving more and more towards Traditonal Chinese Medicine all the time. It's a real system with excellent diagnostics and powerful treatment modalities. Western medicine is really only good for trauma and acute infections. In your case, however, a complete but non-invasive physical by a GOOD doctor, with blood and urine tests could be helpful to your diagnosis. Have you been exposed to 3rd World diseases? Or maybe you are iron deficient anemic, you could be diabetic, or have been exposed to other toxins? These are just examples, not suggestions. It is good to get your diagnosis first, rule out some obvious things if nothing else, all to make sure you are not missing something big. Aside from those types of things though, most else is better cured with more traditional medicines. You have some of the best herbalists and best homeopaths in the world in the UK. Reach out and get touched. Will in Minneapolis
Guest guest
, I'm a few days behind on my e-mails, so I apoligize if my response is redundant, but I wanted to share my own experience that might be relative. Through December and January I suffered increasingly from depression, I couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel and was even curling up in bed crying all the time, and I NEVER cry normally. At the end of January is when I had 2 severe attacks and learned I had gallstones. Contrary to the surgeons desires, I found this list and did my first flush in February. At about 10 pm on the evening following my first flush, I suddenly realized that I felt good. Really good!! I finished doing our business taxes, did laundry, loaded the truck (we drive longhaul), loaded my sleeping husband in the truck at 4am and drove to Kentucky. For the whole next week I felt fantastic! I had energy, I was upbeat, and lo-and-behold there was still a light at the end of the tunnel! The depression has not returned - I am myself again. I've done a second flush, and am looking forward to the results of my third. I also haven't had another GB attack. I hope you give it a try, and that your results are as good!! -valerie ----- Original Message ----- From: SEMMARIA@... gallstones Sent: Monday, May 31, 2004 10:15 AM Subject: Re: Re: Feeling tired so do I need to flush ....My problem at the moment is that I feel so tired and don't sleep well;......
