Hi Tina,

It's the " master cleanse " that recommends 10 caps for 7 days (twice a year)

for Oxy-powder. One would only do this when you know you can be home and near a

bathroom for a whole week. Even then, I would suggest caution in taking that

amount, because everyone is different.

Before a flush, however, they recommend 6 caps per night for 4 nights only.

Usually, by lunchtime, you should be pretty much flushed for the day, or at

least for bowel movements to have slowed down.

For maintenance, the recommended dose is 5 caps every other day. Or, if you

prefer, you can spread it out to alternating nights of 2 caps one night and 3

the next, which is what I do, because I find that higher dose a bit too much

for my normal daily routines. Personally, I find regularity and stool softening

is my aim, rather than constantly flushing. You may find 1 or 2 caps is

enough, but it's probably wise to avoid more than 5 caps in any two-day period

for

maintenance purposes.

The other thing to take into consideration is body weight and type. These can

only be 'recommended' doses and each person is so unique. I started off on a

smaller dose (2 caps per night) to see how my body would react, first, rather

than attempting the master cleanse right off. I haven't done a Master Cleanse,

subsequently, because I find that that pre-flush dose (4 days on 6 caps) is

really enough to thoroughly flush me out and I've had quite enough of the

running by day 4, too.

You've done 4 days, now, so as Vince says, it would be wise to allow your

body a rest, particularly if you were aiming to flush on day 5. It's recommended

to not take any supplements on flush day and then only use the Epsoms in its

place. Definitely, never take Epsoms and Oxy-powder together on the same day. I

didn't resume the maintenance does of the Oxy-powder till a few days after my

flushing and found that worked well.

Lethargy and dizziness can also be dehydration symptoms and, while the

Oxypowder shouldn't dehydrate you on its own, in combination with other things

like

detoxing and perspiring heavily (through exercise and hot weather) may induce

these symtpoms.

As Vince said, just take a few days break from the Oxy-powder, then resume on

a lesser dose when you feel better. Your intuition was right to keep flushing

your system with lots of fresh, clean water....and Vince's suggestions of

gatoraid and water, with a little pure seasalt are excellent, just to make sure

you're getting all the hydration you need to detox.

I've found the Oxy-powder is a wonderful product, but it may not be suitable

for everyone. I just listen to my body each day and decide what it's telling

me to do, rather than just going with the recommended guidelines. Less is

oftentimes more.

Hope this helps you some and you feel better soon!

Blessings, n

Hi Tina, Sorry to hear about the urgency problem. If you have a

fiber supplement you can take a dose or two to help absorb the

toxins in your system that have been stirred up. This should help

your lethargy and dizziness. Do you hve any Psillium seed hulls

around? This will also help stop the loose bowels to a reasonable

level.

Definitely don't take the same dose tomorrow :) Cut way back or

take a day off. This will give your body time to catch up with all

this good detox going on.

I'd try gatorade or sea salt and water (1 teaspoon of sea salt to a

gallon of water: drink several glasses a day) to get moisture back

into your body. It can't hurt and may help.

Hope you feel way better real soon.

My understanding is that prolonged diarrhea will cause a deficiency

in potassium, which is probably found to some extent in gatorade but

probably not that much. The dizzyness may be a result of the lost

electrolytes so taking a potassium supplement (or something like

potato peel potassium broth) may correct the problem.

TIna:

Hi, I will add my 2 cents worth. I agree with n and VInce.

In addition, when I use Epsoms ( I have not used Oxy Powder) I watch my

electrolytes very carefully since dehydration makes me feel like you describe.

One of the better pieces of health info I recd in my life is that in most

things think about a 3 legged stool. The three legs are -- mineral corticoids,

adrenal corticoids and gluco-corticoids.

So when I feel like you decribe I remember the stool and begin correcting --

ok, gluco-corticoids, have I eaten recently? Do I need protein, carbs, etc,?

Ok, mineral corticoids, do I need some minerals mixed in water (sea salt is

good or I use a collodial mineral supplement and an ionic mineral supplement.)

Sometimes a tablespoon of unsulphured molasses corrects the glucocorticoids

AND mineral corticoids.

Adrenal corticoids, I keep a homeopathic for that one, but rubbing your

kidneys to warm them also helps the adrenals, or lying down and resting for

15-30

minutes lets them reset.

Hope that helps. Dont overdo it, Tina, go slow. Rome wasnt built in a day.
