Guest guest
14 years ago these companies tried to block shipment to Dr. Blais, there is absolutely no reason now why they cannot be shipped, the problem is that Dr. Blais is overloaded and just cannot get them done these days. Women are reporting that they cannot get their reports for a very long time. You don't have to ever tell FedEx or anyone else what is in a packet, so there is absolutely no excuse for them to not be able to be shipped. Guest guest
Twas not a political force, the doctors simply tried to block them by calling them toxic waste. I was around at the time, and believe me, it was totally political and all because of the almighty dollar. They did not want anyone saying that these implants were bad. That was many years ago, it simply is not a problem anymore. Lynda At 10:45 PM 6/12/2006, you wrote: >The conspiracy theory is not terribly believable.... Guest guest
It's actually a violation to send any potentially contaminated items without closely adhering to the proper packaging and shipping requirements - universal precautions set by OSHA and the Postal Service. You may have noticed that you will always be asked in the Post Office if your parcel contains any such items - anything liquid, fragile, perishable, or potentially hazardous - This is by no means limited to explanted breast implants. It even includes dry ice, batteries, hair sprays, cleaning products...... All human blood and body fluids are shipped as if they are potentially hazardous. There is - and should be - a restrictive shipping procedure in place. May people on this list say that their inplants were " infected " ........ Guest guest
THAT makes more sense. There are no black helicopters whirling overhead on this issue.... Thanks, Sherry Re: Re: one more thing The real problem is that Dr. Blais is so busy that it often takes a year to get results, so many people are not shipping them to him anymore. Guest guest
I performed surgery in operating rooms all over the world excluding The Orient. I never saw any such conspiracy. They ARE hazardous waste, by definition. All infectious materials, contaminated biologicals and radioactive wastes are REGULATED - standard - medical waste. ANY infected pathology specimens - ANYTHING infected that is removed from the body during surgery - are handled, stored, processed or disposed of in accordance with LAW. At the risk of being flamed or banned, I must say that it does NOT serve any of you to remain in this physician bashing mode! To blame surgeons for all your ills and to convince one another that physicians are evil and will do anything at all in order to receive money does NOT serve your well being at all! In addition, it does not present yourselves in a good light. It is SO irrational and exaggerated that it reduces your credibility such that, ultimately, you are doing your cause a tremendous disservice. Guest guest
Believe me, , the collected info. we have from thousands of women tell us that many physicians are not there to serve OUR best interests. I think you are brainwashed by your training. We have had many, many negative experiences, and we are not bashing all doctors, just the ones who deserve it. They did try to keep us from shipping implants across the Canadian border, to Pierre Blais in particular. I know this for a fact. You come across as incredibly naive about this whole issue, I have been here since 1991 and I can tell you that many doctors are there for the almighty dollar, and whether or not we are ill does not seem to phase them. Guest guest
Standards were adhered to, it was the doctors trying to block the investigation of implants that caused the problem. They called removed silicone implants toxic waste. It was quite a debacle for about 6 months, then they had to back off, because if they are toxic waste when they came out, what were they in the body. That shut them up and then implants were able to be shipped again. I think it was UPS and FedEx that we had problems with for about 6 months. Guest guest
Having never been implanted myself, I do not have the emotional issues regarding implants that most members do on this list. Despite this, I still have a negative opinion regarding most MD's, not because they are money hungry necessarily, but because they do not treat the human body, they treat disease after it occurs. You will find that a lot of women here prefer natural medicine to allopathic medicine, not because they are crazy, but because it works. Perhaps you should open your eyes to the other side. Guest guest
I know it is something political. However, I was extremely discouraged after talking to Dr. Blais office also. For all the restrictions with shipping it seemed odd that the woman I talked acted like Dr. Blais was overworked and underpressure also. I was sick and just wanted them out. I guess I really didn't care what was floating in my implants. I am a little curious, but not enough to stress over. Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: ,It wasn't all Dr. Feng's office . . . Guest guest
Sherry, You can call it conspiracy theory or what ever you choose. I know for a fact and I have it on paper that my ex-plastic surgeon not only lied to me and to my husband's face when he knew I had a silicone rupture. But then he threw my implants away in order to destroy any evidence. The topper of it all was that he could see that each time I saw him I was getting worse and was sick. He only cared about 1 thing COVERING HIS BUTT! Where is the oath in this story of "Do no harm". He screwed me big time. Do I hate all doctors no. Do I hate my ex plastic surgeon NO. But I do have the right to pity him. God keeps reminding me that he will reap what he sows. We have a right to express our feelings here about doctors. Especially if they have harmed us and didn't even have the courage to tell us. Doctor bashing no. Truth yes!!! Guest guest
Sherry, I really do appreciate the knowledge you bring to this forum. However, I continue to be stumped in how you word some of your posts. I thought we had already addressed the fact that this forum is for those of us who are sick from implants and our comments about physicians reflect the personal feelings and personal experiences of those that post. They....We... are entitled to those feelings and entitled to be able to voice them without the " hand slap " and ridicule from you. You may not be aware that this is how " it comes across " but for one that has no real issue with the doctors at this time...it is how it comes across to me. I know of no other way to say this. I suppose...I simply do not understand your position on things considering how sick you are yourself. You too are entitled to express your feelings and opinions but don't you think we have been round and round " about the doctor " issue enough???? I mean it is almost as if you lay " in wait " so that you can put a " zinger " out there...like with this prison comment. Do you really think that was helpful? And please don't tell me you were trying to let everyone know what " the law is " . I think most of us are aware of shipping requirements for biological material or bio hazards. I am sorry you are sick. What are your plans to get better? > > >, > > > >Hopefully someone can jump in with a first hand > >account. . . Guest guest
---Rogene, this is a concern to me as I'm having my surgery soon and want to send them away to Dr. Blais. Do you know how much it costs to have them analyzed? Love & Healing, Sunny In , Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: > > , > > Hopefully someone can jump in with a first hand > account. . . Guest guest
---Thanks, Lynda, for the information. I believe we're getting closer to the truth being exposed. There's just too much " coincidental " evidence piling up! Guest guest
---Lynda, thank you for speaking on this. I am totally behind you with support and my own experiences as well. As a holistic practitioner, I have worked with women who have been abused by many doctors, also other types of trust-oriented professionals. I agree with you that we are not bashing, but exposing the truth. I've been trained to work " with " medical personnel and have an attitude of learning from others, as I teach others, as well. We all have our expertise and I encourage everyone to be open-minded AND loving. I love all you ladies here! Thanks for all your love & support!! Guest guest
---Sherry, I encourage you to look for your scientific data from Dr. Kolb's office and leave this support site for emotional support - not constant controversy and criticism. I, for one, am very sick right now and working hard to keep a positive attitude and would love to hear one message from you to support me on my healing journey. Please look into your heart for a minute, and feel your feelings, and express them here to us. Not intellectual thoughts most of the time. It's tough to do sometimes, but we really DO need to share in a safe, emotional environment. I feel protective of this site, as I know these women have worked very hard to keep it going all these years. It's personally, a life-saver for me right now, as I've been feeling very isolated mentally, with my brain symptoms, as well.
