Guest guest
Do any of your children have sweaty hands and feet?? My son had this when he was little and then it went away after starting with Dr. G and now it is back....After switching from famvir to valtrex and back again, his hands/feet are still sweaty and he just seems to be " warm all over " all the time and often sleeps with no clothes on! Also, do any of the children have delayed bone growth?? My son is 4 but he looks 2 and they have found his bones are delayed by about a year! I'd love to hear of other families with these issues and what the doctors have said about them and if you've found any solutions to these issues! Thanks everyone! I hope I have not posted these questions before!!?? a
Guest guest
a, Our son also has the sweaty hands... and they prune up almost immediately when he even takes a very SHORT shower. I have no idea why. I have noticed that his skin is quite dark on his elbows, as well... wonder if the two are connected. Caroline >On 7/29/02 1:33 PM, " KrisKerz@... Guest guest
my younger son who had severe language delays but now is pretty darn " normal " has a very sweaty head. after sleeping for an hour or two he has a wet pillow. but he is not the one we are bringing to dr. g or at least, not now. my older son has this weird dryness in his ears that just does not go away. in the winter, he gets it in the inside of his eyes. he used to get a blistering dryness under his armpits and that went away. he is also very small for his age--11 y.o. and 4'6 " and only 57 lbs. we have a horrible time putting wt. on him. the gf/cf diet he has been on for 2 years does not help. he is so thin and i really worry. i don't know if it is heridity or the influence of his health. anyone else experiencing these things? barb --- & Caroline Glover <sfglover@...> wrote: > a, > > Our son also has the sweaty hands... and they prune > up almost immediately > when he even takes a very SHORT shower. Guest guest
Hi Shona -- Here are some ideas for " no-egg " egg stubstitutes: http://www.breadbeckers.com/recipes/egg_substitutes.htm As for potato patties, I'm a trial and error cook myself and have no idea what proportions to recommend. I just try to get the whole thing to a pancake-batter-like consistency. I like to use zuchinni and broccoli in my potato pancakes, but they have to be pureed very well for my son to eat them. Good luck! Donna
Guest guest
Shona, Have you tried Egg Replacer by Ener-G? I picked it up at our local health food store, but have yet to actually try it. It has no eggs, and appears to be pretty " -friendly. " Heidi couple of questions Hi everyone! I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me with. As the kids begin to improve, have any of you had trouble with extremely red bottoms? Both of my children have shown improvements as we progress with treatment, but for the past two weeks have both had trouble with red bottoms. Is this because of yeast or what? We haven't had any diet changes to trigger this. Also, my youngest is allergic to eggs. It really aggravates his eczema. Does anyone know of a good egg substitute and where can I find it? I've looked at the ones at the grocery store and they're all made with egg whites. Those wouldn't work, would they? Could someone please post how they make the potato patties with the veggies in them? I tried them tonight and the dog wouldn't even eat them. :-( I need to know how much of everything and what veggies you use. Thanks for the help! Guest guest
Why is olive oil always used as the bile stimulant? Aren't other vegetable oils just as good? What does lemon juice actually do for the liver? Is there added benefit of combining the juice with the olive oil or do these act independently (and only taken together for convenience)? thanks brian

Guest guest
Shona, go to here: http://jin.smugmug.com/gallery/395770/3/15779778 yu will see the picture I took while we were in lego land. It was fun for childre and their Dad. As disney land, I was not going to go at the time, children did not care either. A neighbour who had grew up in Tarzana, told me I had to go there. So I scheduled a day, find a hotel across street(very good price), and walk to the park at 8am, an left at 9pm. If I could stay there longer, I would. But I think I went to most if not all the place I want to go. You can also see the photos on the site above. My children at the time was 4 and 8. My suggestion is: since you are there, just go, you will find a lot funthing for little kids. do not go to Desney land California, it is for older kids. We also went to sea world, and sandiago zoo. But I think the best two places is Desney Land, and Lego Land. We are going back to Lego Land this year. Jin > > > > Hey Shona, > > My son doesn't like Legos either, but he really liked Lego Land.
