Guest guest
Thanks for your varied and thoughtful responses to my first post. I receive daily digest so thought I would try responding to each of you who responded in a single post.........so here goes. Dear SUZANNE: Bentyl was my idea. One time, then off to GI guy and choice to avoid surgery. Will look in the archives for the recommended items. Am taking soy lecithin, about 1000mg daily...also have it available in liquid form. Will increase dosage now that I know it could thin bile and reduce fullness. Have been eating beets--fresh when available, canned when not. Will try this citrus in AM water and see how it works. about my BMs---light in texture-NOT color and fluffy--not loose and airy, but loosely held together. (see more in response to mama) thanks for your ideas/suggestions. Dear VINCE:: If I had liked the high meat thing I might have hung with it, but i hated it. SO glad it worked for your wife. About fillings----just meant will ask her about the type........already know she is not on the wavelength of finding them harmful, but will do as I ask. Has been interesting over the years educating her about alternatives to contemporary care. Appreciate clarification that this list IS for support of long term liver/GB health........especially since I was unable to find any other groups on or the web that looked like i might fit in with them. ABout my colon....really hear you. Imagine that since I have good bowel regularity and rarely experience distress in this regard, I am fine with my colon. Everthing I read says that elimination and colon health are essential to restoring liver/GB health, and even though I imagine that my colon health is good, would be better to be sure, especially with the level of impact this current crisis is having on my life. again, thanks for your spport. Dear EDIE: Thanks for your kind words and your eagerness to support a sister traveler in the midst of your own crisis. Dear MAMA: Even though in dire distress at first flush---it was worth it to relieve distress.....now am into the gently, gently....until I can restore some health and vitality to my liver/GB. Taking milk thistle in PM and LVR in AM, occasional MT tincture in glass of water and several times a week AM detox tea by Celestial Seasonings which is MT based. Does this seem " enough " ? Flax/borage/O3 daily. Maybe I will increase FBO along with the lecithin. Mistake in describing my BMs---light in texture, NOT color. fluffy in terms of texture---colonic hydrotherapist says this is a good thing. All this is as opposed to hard and tight OR the classic frothiness of failed fat digestion. Happy pregnancy and birthing. again...........thanks all. feels good to be heard and to have access to many varied experiences and support. Have been studying TCM suggestions for liver/GB and will consider integrating some more into my regimen.....only using Schisandra at this time. BTW.......the midgewife screename is relative to my being a home birth midwife---FL licensed midwife and Certified Professional Midwife. am happy to have been active in alt health movement for many years, and humbled by the level of knowledge present in this group. thanks for sharing. Wishing each of you restored health. namaste, midge
