Will,

Have you by any chance read " Nourishing Traditions " by Sally Fallon

with G. Enig, Ph.D.?

From the cover: " The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct

Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrates " .

From the back of the book: " The Diet Dictocrats don't want you to

know that...Your body needs old-fashioned animal fats [as opposed to

the modern kind]. New-fangled polyunsaturated oils can be bad for

you. Modern whole grain products can cause health problems.

Traditional sauces promote digestion and assimilation. Modern food

processing denatures our foods but Ancient preservation methods

actually increase nutrients in fruits, nuts, vegetable, meats and

milk [raw-especially goat] products!

The book makes several references to the Weston A. Price

foundation. I'm looking to improve my diet to the extent that

maintenence flushing is all I need. It's clear to me that there is

no one size fits all approach to diet. Eating healthy fats is

definitly essential to long term liver health. Some people need

more than others. Some need very little. Search the archives of

all Dale's old posts for a good education on the necessity of good

fats in the diet. He's helped a lot of people by sticking around

here this long and sharing his experiences.

Keep on learning :)
