Lying on your right side or stomach with right leg pulled up? I know you are stretching already. Gentle abdominal self massage? Warm bath, lying on the right side? It will pass. Envision it passing. Guest guest
Thanks ! I completely forgot about trying a castor oil pack. I must make a list to refer to instead of relying on memory as I definitely don't think clearly when I'm in pain. What did work for me was relaxation, abdominal massage and the rocking chair (I had also had lemon juice in water and was sipping organic apple juice). And a HUGE amount of prayer. Thanks for your reply ) Blessings Mama. Mother to 7 was born 8.32pm Tuesday June 8th at home in water. ----- Original Message ----- From: mackarmstr@... gallstones Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 10:59 AM Subject: Re: Stone stuck in bile duct. Guest guest
Yep, the castor oil packs are great but hot water bottles won't cut it. Get a really good heating pad and turn it up to MAX for at least 30 minutes. I also don't know how much Epsom Salts you used but don't be stingy. I find BREATHING to be just about the most powerful anti-spasmotic there is (all ANXIETY creates spasm, pain and blockage). All the other suggestions given are good, about walking, hot baths, BURPING (the kind where you " creatively " open the esophagus to allow trapped air to come out), massage, lying on the right side, and RESCUE REMEDY (along with CHAMOMILE TEA, and other calmatives). All of these things should be safe for Jr. too. RR is one of the very best things to use and can abort about 90% of the attacks if you can feel it coming. I take ENZYME capsules too, about 4-8 every 30 minutes in a crisis. OK to take 100-200 a day in this kind of situation. Chang herbs could work too. It's very possible that you just have GB COLIC too and there is no impending stone thinking about lodging. If you don't pass anything, that's not necessarily a bad thing as long as the cramping and pain go away. If you have a holistic chiropractor, acupuncturist, or body worker, GO, that's what I did when in severe crisis and it moved the stone. Best wishes, I think you will succeed! Guest guest
Thanks Will! I always appreciate your input to the list. I did indeed have a stone stuck in the bile duct and when it finally came out I had the best flush I've ever had! There was dozens of huge soft stones and at least a cup full of small hard stones. From the pain in my liver I am convinced that they came from there and not my gallbladder. I've felt great ever since (and taking into consideration the fact that we have 7 Home Educated children, one only 10w old and fully breastfed, that HAS to be nothing short of miraculous!) except that the colour of my motions hasn't improved. Any suggestions there? Can you give me more info on heating pads please? A website maybe? I have no idea what they are. Although I always have plenty of success with hot water bottles a heating pad sounds quicker and less messy. More info on Enzyme capsules and Chang herbs to take would be appreciated too ) Incidentally I take 1 Tablespoon of ES in warm water, anything less doesn't work for me. During a normal flush I would take 2 cups at night 2 hours apart and then 2 cups in the morning 2 hours apart as well. Thanks for your input )) Blessings Mama. ----- Original Message ----- From: Will Winter gallstones Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 5:04 PM Subject: Re: Stone stuck in bile duct.
