Guest guest
hello - welcome..... well the jumping around of the TSH makes me think of Hashimoto's, but that's me. To find a good doctor, go to http://www.thyroid.about.com/library/weekly/bldoc1.htm. Thyroid.about.com is a good website for general thyroid info as well. Hope that helps _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam? Becki: I know a fair amount about Chinese Medicine which I think is interesting to see how other cultures approach things. That being said -- spring is LIVER/GALL BLADDDER seaon in Chinese Medicine. They believe that those organs have the most energy then (to cleanse themselves and become ready for the summer ahead). More GB and Liver things happen this time of year in all cultures -- as do liver stagnation issues. Its like flu and 24 hour tummy bugs occuring in the late Fall which is Lung/Large Instestine time. Also, there is a 24 hour cycle (as well as a 12 month cycle). Stomach time is 7-9am, Spleen (immune system)/Pancreas 9-11am , Heart 11am-1pm, S Intestine 1-3pm. GBladder is 11 pm-1 am, and Liver is 1am-3am. So those respective organs are doing most of their work at those times ( ie Liver cleaning itself and the blood, GB regenerating bile, in the early morning hours etc) That is why a lot of people spend the night in the ER, the attacks get triggered from eating too late, eating the wrong things stressing those two organs at night and that is when they balk -- when the energy is focused in those organs. Now, why would you have a problem in the morning? Because there is also something called the midday-midnight rule. That means, for example, if you are going to have a problem with a GB if its not after 11pm, it is probably going to be after 11am. I can almost tell time from my GB's reaction at midday. I gave you the ST and SP/Pancreas times since they often are in there where digestion issues are concerned. So watch the clock and check in with your body and see if this might be of any help for you. It also goes the other way. I have a friend with arrhythmia. She often has trouble in the night (remember midday-midnight rule). It starts at 11pm and if its a really bad night it goes on until nearly 3am (the Heart and SI are paired organs, like the ST and SP and the LIV and GB). Then it stops and she can fall asleep easily like nothing has happened. Interesting ideas and very different from the Western paradigm. I find they explain a lot of things to me I cannot figure out otherwise.
