I am

curious to know if you have heard of (and what you think about) " So Delicious

Unsweetened Coconut Milk " . (see info below) Would this be okay for someone who

has been on your program for about 5 years?

+++Hi Debra NW,

It so good to hear from you again. Please say hi to for me, and give him

a big hug. He must be all grown up now.

That Coconut Milk contains carrageenan which is a neurotoxin like MSG that no

one should consume. Neurotoxins are toxic to the brain and nervous system.

There are Coconut Milks available that do not contain it. Here's one at

Wilderness Family Naturals, but I couldn't find the ingredients. You might have

to write to them.

You are a great cook, so you might consider making your own - see this video and

recipe at Tropical Traditions:

Tropical Traditions might also carry a good coconut milk.

Love & Hugs, Bee

HOWDY DEBRA ---

I bought some 2 wks ago based on the label. I took 2 sips & waited to see if I

had a reaction to it. And YES, I did, within 20 minutes. That horrible stinging

GUT reaction.

GUAR GUM & Carrageenan were the culprits... I am sure. So I poured $2.80 down

the drain.

Hello Bee,It's great to hear from you too! Yes, is about 6'2 now,

strong and healthy, will be 19 tomorrow and is a son to be proud of for

sure!

Thanks so much for the info, I know I can always count on you! I will

watch that video and check into Wilderness Family Naturals and Tropical

Traditions coconut milk too.

Too bad Turtle Mountain (makers of So Delicious) had to go and spoil

what could have been a good thing. I am going to send them an email to

let them know about carrageenan. If you have any good info on it, please

let me know, I will wait for your reply before I email them about it.

What about guar gum? It seems to be in several canned coconut milks.

Thanks again!Love and hugs,Debra

Howdy there Debbie,Thanks for taking time to respond, hearing what you

experienced when drinking it helps. Our bodies become so sensitive as

they become healthy we develop our own built in " no-no " detectors, LOL.

Just chalk up the $2.80 towards your investment into a stronger and much

healthier body.I will check into the other brands Bee mentioned and

explore the possibilities of making some at home too. [:D]

Cheers!Debra

Hi Debra.

Before I started Bee's diet I used to regularly make my own coconut milk.

I would strip a coconut, usually leaving the brown 'skin' intact - unless I was

going to cook with the left over pulp, then would break it into smallish chunks

and pop it in the blender. I would then add around two cups of fairly hot water

(not so hot that it would burn your hands) and give it a good whizz.

I then strained it through a double folded piece of muslin or a 'jelly' bag laid

over a sieve on top of a bowl and empty the lot into the muslin. I'd let it

drain for a minute or two then give it a jolly good squeeze.

I then would put the pulp back in the blender, add another 1 or 2 cups of hot

water and repeat the sequence.

Delicious - and not a chemical in sight.....

Regards, Ali.

Hi. It's not allowed on Bee's program during the healing process - it was just

that a member who has been on Bee's diet for 5 years and has now healed was

asking if it was now ok for her to have coconut milk and mentioned this

particular brand. Cocnut milk appears to be ok by that stage, but home-made is

preferable to stuff that has chemicals in it.

+++Maybe you could look up carrageenan and guar gum since I'm handling a lot

right now. I must get my taxes done by Apr. 30th.

+++Hi Rick,

We had quite the discussion on that a few weeks ago, and I did many

calculations, etc., but I'm much to swamped to get into it this week, unless

someone else replies or you can find my messages on the group.

You could re-post your message after April 30th when my taxes will be done.
