Guest guest
<<I live in a rural area, so I am using what is available--grocery store olive oil and lemon juice from a plastic bottle. I think I am having success, again, but wonder, again, just what these stones look like. I am expecting something hard, because of the word " stones. " I have passed bright green bits but they are soft. One of about 3/4 " diameter, floated. Is this a stone? >> Yes, that is a " stone " and no, the vast majority of them are soft and not hard - that's why the detractors will tell you that your are only expelling the oil you ingested - which simply isn't true. There have been some on this list who have reported the hard stone variety which do not float but sink to the bottom of the bowl. Some flush methods tell you to run all your excrement through a sieve so that you can find all stones plus other things. I have never done that, but if you are after the hard stones that's one way to find them. In addition, many times when doing the slow flushes such as your seven day flush, the stones will be hidden in the fecal matter so you will think that you haven't done well, but any green specs in there are indeed stones or 'chaff' from the flush. Regarding the bottled lemon juice, I personally see nothing at all wrong with that as I myself have had success with reconstituted orange juice.
