Guest guest
I have been on the diet for 5 weeks with no sugar or fruits. My doctor started me on probiotics about 2 months ago. Do I need to stay on the probiotics or go off of them? I can see some improvement, but my throat is still red and this is the only place that I can actually see, so I know the yeast is still in this area. I take garlic, coconut oil, probiotics, and organic liquid vitamins daily. I am struggling because I am not a big vegetable eater so I am repeadly eating the same ones. I like nuts but this says to delete them also. When can I add a low carb fruit back into my diet? Also, can you use buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, or oat? I have lost 13 lbs., down to 105 lbs. My family thinks I look anorexic. Thanks for your help! Kim
Guest guest
Hi Kim, Welcome to Bee's group! You're definitely in the right place to get healthy again. I noticed that you say you've been on *the* diet for 5 weeks, but I'm wondering if you mean you've been following Bee's diet. The reason I ask is because you are taking garlic, probiotics and liquid vitamins which aren't on Bee's diet. Bee does not recommend that people take probiotics, so you should definitely stop taking those. This is a support group for those of us who are following her program. It's a self-help program that is very effective at healing the body. I would highly recommend her program if you're not already following it. You should have received some articles that are required reading when you joined the group, but in case you missed them, here they are again: lease ensure you read two important articles, so you understand candida, and know what you need to do and why: How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php You don't have to worry about eating vegetables. All vegetables are carbs and all carbs feed candida. They aren't necessary for help and healing, so don't worry if you aren't eating very many vegetables. It's much more important that you are eating protein and fats. Many people lose weight when they first start this program, but they usually regain weight as their body starts to heal and stabilize. Bee always says that our weight is the least of our worries when we are trying to get healthy. Also, weight is not a measure of health. Fruit is not as healthy as we have been led to believe. It contains fructose which is one of the worst types of sugars we can eat because of the way it is processed in the body, keeping blood sugar levels high for a very long time because it doesn't trigger the release of insulin. Bee's program is a grain-free diet, so you shouldn't be eating buckwheat, quinoa, etc. Welcome again! I hope you decide to take the plunge and follow Bee's program. It has literally saved my life.
