Guest guest
*Hi Bee* * I bought the Nature's Way Calcium Citrate. Your directions say to take 300mg 2x/day, but the capsules are 500mg each. How should I handle this? Should I just take it once a day? **Maybe there was something else I should have bought instead?* *You mention to take the Niacin if needed. How do we know if we need it? And is it 50 mg/ day?* * I had also missed the A & D supplements and am ordering that now.* * Thank you* * Kathy*

You can take 1 capsule 500 mg for 1 dose; which is the maximum amount of calcium per dose your body can handle at a time. Otherwise you need to get creative by opening the capsules and dumping out the contents so you get as close as you can to 100 mg for the 2nd dose = total of 600 mg per day. > > *You mention to take the Niacin if needed. The best to you, Bee
Guest guest
I have the same issue. Should I be taking 500 mg of Magnesium because I am taking 500 mg of the Calcium? I can split the Mg tablets in half and make it work. Shelby - > > +++Hi Kathy. In this article <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp1.php>, Bee states: " Most people will do very well on 600 mg each of calcium and magnesium per day, taken in two doses of 300 mg each " and... " Since the body can only handle a maximum of 500 mg of calcium at a time, individual doses must be 500 mg or lower. " Hope that helps moderator
