Guest guest
Hi Bee, My son ..Dylan ..has been on the program for 7-8 weeks now ...he has just turned 15 and plays a lot of sport..6 days a week....club and rep football, boxing etc. He has ADHD and I have been home schooling him for nearly 2 years. Before starting this diet he would eat carbs in excessive amounts daily ...12 slices of bread, rice, pasta, 5 pieces of fruit at a time....(this was when I thought carbs were 'energy giving'...I have come a long way since then!!) His symptoms were facial and back acne, temper/bad short term memory/anger..outbursts/lack on concentration (adhd symptoms), itching skin on all grass and sneezing and mucus coughing up and itching eye episodes that would go on for 2 hours when he woke up. Also he never sleep well.... These symptoms have almost disappeared which is so encouraging. ( my goal is to take him off his medication for adhd when I feel all the above symptoms are gone...as maybe the medication....straterra 60 mg a day.... may continue to cause these symptoms as the body is trying to detoxify the medication.. He was lean when he started the diet...however he has dropped 7 kilos...my ex husband see's the benefits of the diet however he is very concerned about him getting hurt on the field...as some of the players are 70-100 kilos and Dylan is 57kilos now. I told him to be patient and that the weight would start to come back on in a few months...however with him being small could jeopadize his football prospects for the future and coaches may get concerned if he loses more.He got pretty weak in the first 4 weeks but now his strength has doubled...I say thanks to the persisting with the diet... He is having heaps of fats and protein, all the supplements and small amounts of carbs..he says he hardly has an appetite ...but I make sure he is eating 3 meals.. Bee should I ..just keep going and trust he will put on weight again soon? I thought I could make him drink the Egg Drink (he doesn't like it much) in between meals and before bed time.....would this help put on weight??....my ex husband suggested to give him Brown Rice and Greek Yogurt again to put some of the weight back on .even though not part of the diet and I don't want to undo all the good work... Thanks so much Bee for your advice and support,

Please do not wait until all of Dylan's symptoms are gone to get him off ADHD medications. That is because it will take months for his body to heal completely, and during that time he will retrace all of the past episodes he had prior to starting on my program. It takes 1 month of natural healing for every year he has been unhealthy including time before when his body was going downhill. For most people today that is since before they were born when they acquired a poor nutritional status upon conception. You need to start decreasing meds as soon as he gets completely on this program. > > He was lean when he started the diet...however he has dropped 7 kilos...my ex husband see's the benefits of the diet however he is very concerned about him getting hurt on the field...as some of the players are 70-100 kilos and Dylan is 57kilos now. Guest guest
Hi , For Bee: I was wondering that since fat is the source of energy for us now as we are not relying on glucose, whether eating more fat would put more weight on? Also for , I too lost my appetite for many weeks while on this diet. For a while I really thought I would never love food again. I too lost weight. But my appetite came back with a vengence! I believe it is because I was healing in a big way. I was so much better after this period of non appetite. Your son (when appropriate for his body) will have an appetite again just like me. Bee's program is so important. I can't believe the amount of fantastic stories I have read here over the last year. I am so so grateful to Bee for all her work. I don't think we can understand at the beginning of this program just how amazing it is, that is why reading the success stories was really important to me to keep me going. And.....I wish my mum had started me on this program when I was 15. So much of my pain and misery would have been averted. I would be forever grateful to her for doing that. Guest guest
Hi , you've done a fantastic job to get your son on the program and to have achieved so much so quickly. My daughter had ADHD together with many other 'conditions' and 'disorders' some of them life threatening. She went through a very skinny stage as her body detoxed and healed. Now though she is brimming with health, her physique is muscular and glowing. Do not wait any longer to get off the medication so that he can get on with the rest of his healing and be as patient as you can with the weight, these things take time. Healing a body and all it's vital organs from that kind of carb onslaught is no small feat! Weldone again, and yes do not add rice and yogourt, it will undo all your terrific work. Guest guest
Hi Bee, Cassie, and Group, Thank you so much for your reply and support...at times I feel so alone but your encouragement and advice help me on this journey to health.... Yes ...slowly getting it...fats do not put on weight...carbs do...relearn the brainwashing lol! I have taken Dylan off all his medication for ADHD 4 days ago...and will not give him Yogurt/fruit and Rice......he is really happy about it (not abstaining from the food but the meds)... I guess I never considered how he felt about taking medication for 7 years.....I just wanted his behaviour to change so bad as I had been suffering with Candida/Cancer/and more.... since I was 13 (now 39) his out of control behaviour caused me so much stress and anguish.. ....at times I feel so bad about past choices I made with my health and my kids and wish we could start all over again with Bee's knowledge ..but I am sure most of you will agree if we hadn't been that sick and miserable we wouldn't appreciate and embrace health like we have learnt to ...I truely believe when we take care of what we put in our mouth good things come our way..not just with our body/mind... life is more peaceful and rewarding.... It will be Dylan's b'day next week and he wants to go out to a buffet dinner....my worst nightmare....however he has done so well on this diet for 7 weeks ...as he was a major carb addict prior..(he could down 5-7 plates of pasta at a buffet dinner and then have 2 -3 bowls of dessert)..so I said we can go (reluctantly) ...my one rule is..NO SOFT DRINK...he said he will keep going on the diet with no cheats for 8 more weeks after this dinner.... Wouldn't it be great if after one plate he stops and says he has had enough!! We will see.. Thanks again, Hi , For Bee: I was wondering that since fat is the source of energy for us now as we are not relying on glucose, whether eating more fat would put more weight on? Guest guest
Hi , here again. Just in regard to the egg drink for your son, (I've got a son on the diet too). My son isn't that keen on the 'hot' egg drink. So after I make it I put the blender in the fridge (with the egg drink in it) until it cools down. Then he loves it. He drinks it down like a milkshake. Other group members drink it cold as well. Blessings, > > > > > > Hi Bee, > > > Bee should I ..just keep going and trust he will put on weight again soon?
