Guest guest
I noticed a few posts about juicing wheat grass (among a few other grasses)... Can you please let the group know what juice machines work best? I know there is something different needed for " grass " instead of orange juicer type machines. Thanks

Thanks>> You need a gear juicer for wheatgrass. You can buy a hand crank gear type juice for grass that costs around $60-80. Electric gear juicers start at around $300 for a single gear juicer (not very good, in my opinion) or about $400 for a twin gear. I have had a Green Power for about 8 years and have used it a lot for both wheatgrass and other veggies, and fruit. I have also had several different centrifugal juicers which juice most everything else, but they generally leave more pulp and don't get out as much juice. However, I'm looking at the Jack LaLane juicer because it has a 1/4 horsepower motor and - more importantly - you can juice some whole apples and put several carrots through it at once. That's a drawback of all other juicers, you are limited in how much you can put through at one time. The LaLane juicer claims to get more juice out than others, but will see. They go for $150 plus S & H, but you can get them on eBay cheaper. Jay
