Guest guest
Hi,my dog has gone from bad to horrible in a matter of a month and Im terribly worried. I had treated him holistically most of his life, he's 8 years old, but the holistic doctor did many things that were not okay - I am moving on from her, but my dog declined very rapidly under her care. He is almost critical now, he developed a malassezia infection, an enterococcus infection and a staph infection, along with ringworm and possibly mange in a matter of 1 1/2 months. His body is going haywire. I cant leave him alone or he will literally scratch himself to death. He has gouged his throat, his face, he is living with a cone on his head and his dewclaws wrapped up all the time. I wanted to know if there are any good resources or literature availble for dogs with severe systemic yeast infections? or know of any websites or anything that I can do that can help. He's going to a conventional vet because things became very unstable, and he is seeing a dermatologist. He's on a host of drugs now, and Im worried about them too. He is eating natural balance venison and sweet potatoe with cooked meat thrown in. Ive stopped all herbs except he is getting stonybrook farm yogurt. I dont know if the herbs may interact with all of the drugs he is on. Ive been in a panic over how he has declined so quickly. Thanks for your help!
