Guest guest
Hi Taryn - I've just been reading Bee's " Foods that Damage, Foods That Heal " article and she talks about good fats in there. She says: >>Nature-made fats and oils are equally important to protein in the diet and they are vital to your health, including butter, coconut oil, fish oil, lard, palm oil, poultry fat, tallow, and other natural fats as well as extra virgin olive oil. These fats and oils not only increase the body's ability to absorb nutrients from foods but also provide the most efficient source of energy for the body compared to carbohydrates. >>...nature-made saturated fats go directly into the bloodstream, providing an efficient source of energy and nutrients. They are found in every cell in the body, providing the building blocks for cell membranes and a variety of hormones and hormone-like substances. Read here: " Carbohydrates cause obesity, not fat. " <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods12.php> please ensure you read two important articles so you know what you need to do and why: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these 200 wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php began 03/09/10 > > I told a friend about this diet, and she slowly started to get into it by eliminating most things you said to except for some brown rice or sweet potatoe and quinoa. She also still eats sprouted seeds and nuts and sometimes breads that are sprouted. She started eating quite a bit of butter because she was feeling hungry all the time and now cooks with coconut oil (she doesnt take it by the spoonful though). She told me shes been having funny " heart pains " and she can feel her heart beating quite hard. I'm wondering is it okay to eat alot of butter/fats if your carb intake is higher like hers? Is it okay to eat lots of butter no matter what your diet is like? I worry too because I eat ALOT of butter and am not fully on the diet right now and I just wonder if butter is bad for you if you dont have the right ratios? Sorry if this seems like a silly question... I'm just worried. > > Thanks, > > Taryn >
