Guest guest
Hi , I have a friend who has that same condition. Her youngest child is 4 and her skin has not returned to normal since last being pregnant. Doctors have told her she could have a chemical peel and then avoid the sun as a prescription to get rid of it. I'm very glad my friend chose not to go that route, for her health's sake. I think doctors call this condition melasma or chloasma. I'm assuming Bee will say it's related to toxins, but I too am very curious now to hear her answer. Thanks, Marti On Mon, May 2, 2011 at 8:00 PM, casemare <casemare@...> wrote: > > > Hi Bee and Others, > > Seemingly ever since starting the diet last year (maybe the year before > even, when I was pregnant), when I go in the sun my face gets embarrassing > darker sections of skin. It is possible it will heal completely on this program, just like scaring, moles and aging spots on people have disappeared. Of course the timing cannot be predicted due to many factors. In fact 2 moles around my navel just fell off last week, and an aging spot on my upper arm is flaking like it is going to finish healing too. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi , I believe those spots will eventually go away and are, as Bee says, toxins coming from through the skin. I had a brown spot on my forehead that developed when I was pregnant. When I first started on Bee's diet, it went away. The following summer, I got more dark spots on my forehead as you descrive, all along my hairline (which is exposed to the sun) but funnily enough, the spot that had originally disappeared did not become brown again. I'm interested to see if those new spots will reappear again this summer. They have faded over the winter. I believe it's the vitamin D and the pigmentation process that somehow helps the skin to detoxify.
