Guest guest
Hello, I'm new here. I was referenced to Bee's site from a friend on the GAPS diet group. We've been doing the GAPS Intro diet for the past 5 weeks with me, my DH, 2yo and 6yo. We were primarily motivated by it for my 6yo's seizure disorder, but all hope to gain better gut health, etc. Now I'm looking int possible candida for myself and the 6yo at the least, because she and the 2yo are so gung ho about fruits (missing them). Not begging for them so much, but not ver interested in other foods, but of course would take the GAPS legal applesauce in a second. So, my question is, is Bee's anticandida diet essentially GAPS, fruit and nut free (fermented dairy free also), with Bee's recommended supplements? Just trying to get my mind around all this. Thank you,
Guest guest
Hi , Yes, the two are very similar-- Bee doesn't insist upon broth and ferments like GAPS. Her basic rule is that you can not eat food that has a net carb of 6 or more. She also recommends fat/protein/carb ratios based on the Optimal diet. I'm on a combination of the two that is working very well for me. Good luck! in VA ________________________________ From: momacacia <w.j.baker@...> Sent: Mon, May 2, 2011 1:14:53 PM Subject: [ ] Newbie--GAPS anti-candida  Hello, I'm new here. That is because this program is not just for candida sufferers because it has proved to be an overall healing program that improves anyone's health irregardless of their health issues. Also, candida is the " result of " and not the " cause of " poor health that can happen any time in a person's life. Today most babies are born with candida that they acquired in the womb. That is because there are Five Primary Causes of Failing Health, whether it is candida, seizure disorders, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.: 1. Lack of the correct combination of nutrients that all humans need in order to be healthy. 2. Lack of oxygen at a cellular level. 3. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste because of an inability of the body to detoxify like it should. 4. Lowered vitality (energy) due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, losses, relationship or financial worries, being unhealthy, etc. 5. Poor " Nutritional Status " acquired from parents upon conception. Therefore the only way to improve health is by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (Bee's diet plus supplements which provides all of the nutrients any Human needs in order to be healthy). 2) Eliminating damaging foods. 3) Eliminating toxins in general. The proof is in these 200 Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php It is well-known even in the medical industry that seizure disorders, including epilepsy have been reversed by high fats, very low carbs (all plant foods, including vegetables), and protein from meats and eggs, and that's what this program is all about. It is very important that you read these two articles so you understand what you need to do and why, that include food and supplement lists: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php Also see this article for babies and children: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/baby.php After reading get back to us with questions. My basic rule is that any carbs consumed must be 6% or lower in total carbs (not net carbs). , you cannot expect to progress like other people do on my program since you are doing a combination of the two.
