Guest guest
Hi everyone, I started the supplements about 3/25. I started the salt and the coconut oil soon after. I figured out Fitday and some days I don't meet my fat ratio. In the last month I will have days where I feel really good. Like I can take the dog an extra block. Then there are days I can barely get out of bed. I have had a full blown cold. I am bloated. I am emotional. I have pains that come and go in familiar areas (right ovary, left leg, liver). They are the same places I used to have pain years ago. I have pains that shoot through my head. My periods are now irregular, last one was one week early and very heavy. I have gained weight and my biggest pants are a little too tight now. I hope I level off soon. I have been constipated. Today I have a crick in my neck. It hurts to turn it to the right and to look down. My neck and shoulders have been so tight for a year now, I really hope for some relief. My shoulders and back still pop and crack. I know this is okay but I feel like I am falling apart!!!! It is hard to feel good for two days and then terrible for three. I have an appt to see about that salivary gland that refuses to go away next Friday. Trying to stay positive but of course I think the worst. Having candida and going to doctors has led me to have so much anxiety. I have thought I was dying so many times. Shelby
Guest guest
Hi Shelby, I'm sorry you're feeling so overwhelmed and upset with all your symptoms right now. They're just symptoms - signs that your body is doing its best to heal itself. You recognize that this is all part of the healing process, right? So just try to focus on that. Your body is doing all these things to help you to heal. I know it sometimes seems like you are taking one step forward and three steps back. Unfortunately, that's just the way it works. It's not a straight upward climb to perfect health. Just as you start to feel better, your body realizes it's now strong enough to do another round of healing and it's more capable of digging in deeper to get that done. It might help you to keep a journal. Try to list all the symptoms you had *before* starting the diet and then compare to how you are feeling now and in a few more weeks' time and again a month later. I've been nearly 3 years on this diet and I barely remember what my old symptoms were since I'm a completely different person now. I wish I had written a journal. It would be so interesting to watch the progress. Try to take a step back from yourself (and all you're feeling and experiencing right now) and marvel at how your body is taking measures to heal itself. See if you can look at it with a sense of awe (wow! my body's doing what?) and curiosity (what's going to happen next?). That really helped me get through some tough times. It also lifted my spirits because I felt like an outside observer and I didn't feel so bogged down by each and every symptom. I knew that my body was getting rid of the stuff it didn't need and that sometimes it wasn't going to be pleasant, but at least it was no longer inside me. If you can, treat yourself to something nice as a reward for all your hard work - going to see a movie, having a gentle massage, a new book or a pretty bouquet of flowers - anything (not food, of course) that helps you feel that you are getting a treat for working hard. You might not realize it, but *are* progressing and you *are* getting better and you deserve to rewarded. Hang in there. This, too, shall pass... Big hugs to you! Salivary glands can get blocked up too, mine did. They were so hard and painful I thought they were rocks. lol! They are caused by eliminating toxins which can block them, just like your tears can be blocked or any glands. To help them massage them with your fingertips or thumb depending upon which ones are involved. If it is the one under your chin you can put a couple fingers inside under your tongue, in front of your teeth, and your thumb underneath and press and massage as best you can. Or just massages them from the outside by using circular motions. Also mix 3% hydrogen peroxide 50/50 with non-chlorinated warm water and take a mouthful (don't swallow it) and hold it in your mouth for up to 2 minutes swishing it around. Applying wet heat to your salivary glands will also help. They will unblock as you progress so please have faith in your body and this program. I highly recommend keeping a journal, which I did, so you are able to look back and see how far you have progressed. Guest guest
> > Bee, today I woke up and didn't feel drugged. My usually heavy limbs felt light. It is the first time since I started. I also didn't come home and sleep for 2 hours. I felt happier today. Maybe I am making progress. My son and I went and had a Latte (just coffee and milk, no sugar added) after school to celebrate his and my last day of school. I am a teacher so I am happy too. > +++Hi Shelby, That's great! Good for you. Remember, as your body gets stronger it will dig in and start more healing, so this may not last, but enjoy it while it does. The best to you, Bee
