Guest guest
> > Thank you Bee and for all of your helpful responses, > > I know you recommend cooking foods longer on lower temperatures. Hypothetically, cooking poultry or grass fed beef on a temperature of 350 degrees Farenheit, would this be harmful for the dish? Is this too high? I used to cook on 400 or above before I came across your site. I just don't know what a good temperature to cook on that will spare the nutrients for meat AND non starchy vegetables. Thanks again for any help. > +++Hi Mike, Look up meat temperature charts on the internet for the temperature to cook different kinds of meats and different cuts of meat. What do you mean spare the nutrients? You do not have to be concerned about sparing the nutrients in vegetables since they provide the most nutrients when well-cooked as this article explains: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/veg3.php However, vegetables and meats can become tough, which means they have lost moisture so they have a crusty exterior. This happens when vegetables are cooked in the oven or on a grill, so it is better to cook or steam them with water first. Bee

Guest guest
About five years ago my feet and legs swelled so bad, fluid was seeping out thru the skin and got where I could hardly walk or breath. So I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 months. At the time I weight 220 lbs and when I got home I had lost 60 lbs. All this from heart problems. I just never felt like I wanted to do anymore artwork after that. Before carving egg shells I carved on wood and I also painted. So now the weight is creeping up again. It was up to 182 lbs a few month ago. Then at my last Dr's visit he said I was now pre-diabetic. So he said to lose some weight and do exercises. Yukkkk! So I just lost 10 lbs in this past month. I started looking around on line for something to help me both lose weight and improve my health. So what better way then to do lots of veggies and fruits. Like I didn't know this before. I guess I just needed to be with people with the same goals. Years ago when my husband was living and he noticed I was dieting, he would sabotage it and bring home a box of eclairs. Guest guest
Lucille, these are beautiful! Have you ever thought of teaching these techniques? I'd take a class or two, depending of course on where you live.Good luck w/ the weight loss project. I'm such a slow loser, I've been stuck at about 15 lbs for over a month..... On my next doctor appt, i'm going to talk to her about this. She never believed me when I told her I don't lose weight. Now maybe she will...... Guest guest
No I couldn't do that now. But there is a man LeMaster in Ohio that has some online classes. If you want the information I'll send it to you. You could probably find him in google. He use to publish an egg carving magazine. but he stopped that because of health problems. http://lujs.tripod.com/EggLessons-INDEX.HTML Here's my web site that you can learn from to get started. Lots of information here. There are a few eggers too with lots of helpful people. the lists of suppliers are not up to date.
