Guest guest
Hi All, Last fall I had an endoscopy to look for damaged villi due to a gluten intolerance. My villi were okay, but the GI doc did find two stomach lesions, which did cause pain now and then when I ate. The GI doc told me to take Prilosec, which I did not do, because as I understand it, this drug makes your digestion worse by reducing stomach acid. I was advised by another holistic doc to take digestive enzymes, which I have taken for the last few months will no problems. This particular formula has 500mg Betaine HCI, with Ox Bile, Pepsin, Papain, niacinamide, pyridoxal 5 phosphate, and additional herbs. When I ran out of these supplements, I started taking one tsp apple cider vinegar in water, since the supplements were very expensive. This morning I took the Natural Factors Betaine HCI recommended on this program, and I have quite a bit of burning in my stomach where the lesions are. Funny, I thought they had been healed since I had not had any pain in months. I guess not. Should I go back to the previous formula I was using, since I did not have any problems with it? Or should I try 1 tsp apple cider vinegar to help with digestion? Thanks,
