Guest guest
Hi Tina, Those itchy, prickly, tingling feelings are typical healing reactions. I believe that Bee has pointed out to you that when toxins are coming out, they can cause you to feel this way. I still get itchy from time to time for what seems like no apparent reason, but you just have to have faith in the program and understand that if you are following the program to a T, then any and all reactions you are having are proof that it is working and that your body is working really hard to heal itself. I'm just curious what else you are eating along with your coconut oil. Remember not to increase your coconut oil too quickly, even though you like the taste, because it cause you to have more healing reactions than necessary. Going too quickly can also overwhelm your body and cause it to stop healing altogether. As Bee always says: " More is not better. " This isn't a race, so don't try to rush. You should tolerate one dose for at least 5 days before you increase it. I'm very glad to hear that you are feeling better from stopping the Pro C. I'm sure your body will balance that out over time. Hang in there! Group Moderator > > I am just looking for support, wondering if this is a typical reaction. Because of my so many food 'intolerances' any reaction scares me a bit. Guest guest
Hi Tina. It was interesting that you mentioned about getting itches under your right foot I have had itches on and off under my feet for some years. I used to get it in the centre of my right foot for a while and along the edge of my left heel too. Interestingly, when I checked the Reflexology chart, both areas were connected to parts of my body I have had problems with - the section in the centre of my foot was connected to my stomach and pancreas, and the area along my left heel is connected to my colon. Since being on Bee's diet (one year) both lots of itching have gone away as my body is healing. I also had an interesting episode three years ago shortly after going gluten-free. I was sat on the sofa in the living room and suddenly got a sharp pain under my left foot. It equated with a sore feeling in my left side and I could feel lots of stuff going down my 'tubes'. I went and checked the reflexology chart, and sure enough the pain in my foot equated with the liver. I suspect that having had a lot of the stress removed with the removal of gluten (and dairy) from my diet, my liver took the opportunity to have a good old clear-out. The pain in my foot was pretty intense coming every 30 seconds or so and building up to a climax before fading away (like a birth pain LOL). Gradually over the day it improved and within a couple of days it had gone and the soreness disappeared in my side from my liver. I get quite a bit of itching here and there as my body is healing, but itching can also be associated with toxins. For me it tends to be associated more with healing, so I don't mind it at all and view it as a positive thing. Years ago I also used to get a very itchy back - just inside my left shoulder-blade. that eventually stopped but recently it has returned. An acupuncturist told me recently that the shoulder-blades are linked on a meridian with the small intestine. The gluten has done a lot of damage in my gut and the itching could well explain that - the first lot as it got worse, and now being revisited as it is healing. That itching started when I was in my 20s and I am now well past 50 so to heal all that is going to take at least 3 years! But at least I am working towards health now rather than degeneration. I now get quite a lot of 'picky itches' in my back as my body is trying to sort itself out. It's all associated now I believe, with my pancreas, spleen and liver, which have all had a huge clear-out in the last two or three months. Again, I view this as part of the healing process. Not necessarily pleasant - but then no one said that the healing hourney would be an easy one! As Bee says, disease processes are identical to healing ones, so it can be a bit disconcerting sometimes when you are not sure what is happening. The body is constantly trying to maintain an equilibrium despite the damage being inflicted on it and it can only do that in certain ways - so they are often identical as it works to undo the damage. I hope that as you progress in Bee's diet and your body starts healing your symptoms will eventually abate. Regards, Ali. > > I am just looking for support, wondering if this is a typical reaction. That's great your legs are better! I'll just say that after you get all of the correct supplements and have taken them for awhile you aren't completely on the program yet, so a few things will be unpredictable. So hang in there and keep on keeping on! Your body knows its job very well and will come through for you too! Onward & Upward, Bee
Guest guest
thanks , just seeing this now. I am not accustomed to the layout of this message forum yet. I did notice that even starting the other NOW Vit c, calc & magn, that I got very intense burning picky itches all over, and I believe the seizing was returning in my leg muscles along with strong restlessness. Also, I guess Idid increase my coconut oil too fast then. I went from 1/4 tsp 3-4x a day to about 3-4 tbsp in aabout a week! IS that way too fast for everyone? I perhaps should cut back ? I eat several types of meat, and non starchy veggies well cooked typically, and just water, always some celtic salt. thank you, Tina > Hi Tina, > > Those itchy, prickly, tingling feelings are typical healing reactions. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I understand. It takes a while to get used to this format and to get used to how it works. You'll get there! Restlessness in your legs is often because of toxins being mobilized. I think it's a good sign since it means that your body is working at clearing those toxins. I know it's not always pleasant to feel the symptoms, but if you can recognize that those symptoms mean that you're getting better (not worse) you'll feel better about the process. Wow! You went up to 3-4 Tbsp. in a week! That is way too fast for most people. Going so fast like that can cause you to have a lot of unnecessary reactions. Also, going so quickly can be incredibly overwhelming on your body and can even stop your body from healing. It took me 6 months to get up to 6 Tbsp. Take your time with upping your coconut oil It is not a race and in the meantime, you still need to be able to function in your day-to-day life, so try to find the balance between having some healing reactions and being able to function. It's not a race. You should probably go back down to 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp three times a day and then increase it ever 5 days if you are able to tolerate it (meaning not getting too many healing reactions). If you can't tolerate, wait another day or two before increasing again. Hope that helps! Group Moderator > > thanks , just seeing this now. Guest guest
Thanks , that helps a lot. I guess that's what is meant by healign reactions? Most people talk about headaches or flu like feelings. Is there a list somewhere of typical healing reactions from coconut oil that includes all this crazy burning itching stuff? Just reassuring to have a resource to read where it has commonly happened to many people. I will cut back, I didn't realize I had to go up that slowly at all! Everything on me itches, and it's more constant now, and it's maddneing b/c it's not just on my skin but sort of under and inside my body, and on nerve endings! Plus lots of skin burning all over too. Is there something besides drinking water and taking baths that I can do to excrete these mobilized toxins? Like sodium alginate, bentonite (not recommended I believe) Thanks for your support, Tina > Restlessness in your legs is often because of toxins being mobilized. Guest guest
Hi Tina, Don't take sodium alginate or bentonite. Epsom salts baths are good and so is doing dry skin brushing. I think decreasing your coconut oil will really help you feel better. Don't drink too much water because it will cause you excrete minerals. Just drink according to your thirst. I don't believe that there is a list of healing reactions that people typically experience on Bee's site. For the most part, if you are following Bee's diet and taking coconut oil (even if you're only taking 1/2 tsp three times a day) any symptoms you are experiencing are healing reactions. So as you can imagine, the list would very long! Group Moderator > > Thanks , that helps a lot. > I guess that's what is meant by healign reactions? I typed in " detox " in the upper right hand corner of any page on Bee's site and it brought up this article: " How to Detoxify Effectively " <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/detox.php> I'm sure when you joined you were sent a couple of articles to read and one would have included coffee enemas, which you could try: <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/enema1.php> here is another part of an article you were sent upon joining: <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php#b10> It would lead you to a " retracing, healing reaction " article: <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php> Hang in there. Keep reading. It'll start to piece together and make sense to you. began 03/09/

Just reassuring to have a resource to read where it has commonly happened to many people. +++Hi Tina, Reading Success Stories gives you a great list of symptoms and reactions people have had that they are reporting are gone! The list of healing reactions are exactly the same list of reactions you got while you were going downhill and becoming more and more unhealthy. There are a few common reactions since the body is fairly consistent producing some kinds of detoxifying reactions. There are some reactions and symptoms unique to each person, which depends upon what systems, functions, organs, etc. were involved, including the amount of toxins, how much deterioration occurred, what major organs were involved, age, nutritional status acquired from parents on conception, and so on and on. Also, you can get new symptoms and reactions you didn't have in the past. That is because your body becomes " more able " to heal and detoxify itself. It may utilize outlets and create symptoms for getting rid of toxins it was not able to use before, and it will also be able to repair and rebuild areas it did not have the resources for healing. I suggest you make a list of your past symptoms and reactions so you can see what you will be experiencing on this program at you heal and detoxify. >> I will cut back, I didn't realize I had to go up that slowly at all! +++Then you missed the information at the beginning of my article with the links to the other most important information: Here's my article just before the Table of Contents: How to Successfully Overcome Candida © Copyright Bee Wilder Revised August 23, 2010 to remove nuts and seeds from the Candida Food List.
