I can do it, but I think it would be easier if I could somehow flavor it. I know that Carlson's has the lemon flavored oil (which I did not buy -- but should have!) so I am wondering if I might be allowed to add something (lemon?) to the unflavored oil to make it more palatable. > > Also, I didn't realize that I had to refrigerate the oil after I opened it, so it was in the cupboard for 2 or 3 days. Is that okay? +++Hi . Your cod liver oil should be okay if it was in the cupboard and not in the light for 2-3 days. That's good you found out soon enough and put it in the fridge. Lemon juice will not mix with the oil because it is mostly water. You can add a few drops of an essential oil like clove or mint to it, but use as little as possible since essential oils can create healing reactions. Ensure you buy an essential that can be taken internally, that does not contain anything else like alcohol, and once that isn't just for aromatherapy purposes.
