Guest guest
Hi Bee,  Thanks for that..I have to wait to get to see a Dr who will prescribe natural thryroid mix...in the meantime I went to my GP today and asked for tertroxin t3 ....as I have been doing research into the thyroid hormones etc....(as I have only been taking thyroxine t4 for 20 years...as you probably know you need both t4/t3 to feel normal).  ...anyway the ingredients for tertroxin is...  lactose, maize starch, acacia, sodium chloride, magnesium stearate  will ingesting 2 tablets a day (20mcg) with these ingredients affect my health/progress on your diet??  My Dr said to go off Thyroxine for a month while on the tertroxin and then get levels checked by blood test and see what is happening..I thought I should decrease slower off the thyroxine and keep a minimum dose while taking t3.   My energy has been really low, cold, increase in cravings for sugar, heart racing, irritable, and no appetite really...and food just sits in my guts for hours and hours....it's like nothing is moving the way it should and it is getting me down.....I force myself to eat even though I have no appetite and this makes me feel more bloated and worse. I am taking the h.acid but only 3 per meal as I was taking 10 per meal as nothing was happening ...  Bee, sorry if you don't want to get into the thyroid issue..but seeing you have no thyroid I know you will have insight.....I just need to get my thyroid levels correct etc...I know it will take time but I cannot ignore my thyroid health as even getting super healthly on your diet if my thyroid levels are all out of quack it will be harder and I still won't feel as good as I should...I know it takes time  On a better note...my kids are going great on the diet....they are glowing with health...people are commenting a lot on how my kids look...pity about their Mum lol!!  Thanks again Bee,  > > Hi Bee, >  > Just a question again about thyroid meds....since like you I don't have a thyroid and have no choice but to take hormone replacement/s..... @@ Snip +++ Shomon is a good source of information on the thyroid: http://thyroid.about.com/bio/-Shomon-350.htm Also check out Dr. Rind's information: http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-therapy Dr. Rind recommends treating the adrenals with hormones too, but I don't because taking hormones negatively affect the body more than anything else and there is plenty of adrenal help and support on my program. It contains lactose, which is the sugar in dairy products that most people cannot digest and it feeds candida. It also contains maize starch which is from corn. >>My Dr said to go off Thyroxine for a month while on the tertroxin and then get levels checked by blood test and see what is happening..I thought I should decrease slower off the thyroxine and keep a minimum dose while taking t3. +++You should follow your doctors advice so he/she can accurately monitor your thyroid. Actually your GP should refer you to an endocrinologist. I see an endocrinologist every 3 years who reviews my tests and he said the combination of thyroid meds I take are doing a terrific job for me. >>> On a better note...my kids are going great on the diet....they are glowing with health...people are commenting a lot on how my kids look...pity about their Mum lol!! +++That is great news! Guest guest
Hi Bee, Â I'm just confused now as you said to follow my Dr's advice ....which would mean taking the textroxine....they you said don't take the textroxine.. Â I can't get in to see a endochronologist till July 6th to get natural meds....so in the meantime i don't know what to do with my thyroid meds...take the tertroxin and feed the candida or just go back to synthetic dose of oroxine a day....what would you do? Â I know you are not a doctor Bee but any suggestions would be great.. Guest guest
Hi Bee, No ..my Dr had never heard of T3 supplimentation with T4..or natural alternatives...and he doesn't know of any doct. who prescribes natural thyroid hormone...he said I was his first ever patient to suggest/request it! He admitted he was not familiar with thyroid doses etc...so he refered me to a endo. ...but I have had to find a different one by many phonecalls and enquires to find a endo. who does the natural thing!! ...as I said 6th July is my appointment with an endo. who prescribes natural thyroid.. ..so in the meantime ........I know you suggested not taking the tertroxine because of being synthetic and added substances.....but would just taking it until I see this Dr have that much affect on me if I am following the diet/sups etc?? I had started taking tertroxin (only 20mcg..once a day) over the last 2 days....and immediately felt more energy....... and this continued for the rest of the day...also my appetite has improved........as I have had hardly no energy or appetite for 2 months from being on this diet (i know this comes with starting the diet and getting well but I know I have been hypothyroid too..). Thanks Bee, " in the meantime I went to my GP today and asked for tertroxin t3. " Did you ask your doctor for a natural form of t3 instead of a synthetic form?
