Guest guest
Dear Bee and Members, I have been on Bee's candida diet for 22 months now, and I have already done a tremendous amount of healing and retracing. However, shortly after starting the program, I developed chronic constipation and can only go to the bathroom with the help of high doses of vitamin C and/or a castor oil pack. Now, I ran out of supplements while being in France, and had to do without them for 5 days. To my great surprise, I had a bowel movement every day, and my digestion improved tremendously. Morevoer, my libido came back full force, and I no longer have sugar cravings! I believe that maybe some of the supplements I am taking, although they are helping me in some areas, may be hindering my progress in other areas because they still contain sugar such as dextrose, as well as toxic substances such as soy, even though the amounts are tiny. I am already very sensitive to stevia and lemon, so maybe ingesting other nefarious substances is not helping me. Have other members had similar experiences? Bee, do you think that it is a good idea for me to stop/reduce some supplements? Can I take 4000mg of ascorbic acid instead of vitamin C capsels? Many thanks in advance for your help and comments, Helene

IF the supplements I recommended caused problems like you are having then no one would be able to get healthy on my program, and I wouldn't be healthy either. So please don't point to foods or supplements on my program. I would first suspect that you were not following the program correctly, so re-check all of your supplements, and ensure you are meeting your protein, fat and carb ratios. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Helene, Were you taking nutritional yeast flakes? I suspect these may feed candida. I have recently stopped them (replaced 'em with B vitamin and niacin) and my healing reactions have increased. I was waiting to see what happens before I post about this on group. It was similar to the intensity of the healing reactions when I first when on your diet. Which makes me think that dumping the yeast flakes was a positive move (because it felt so close to beginning the diet). I've been over a month without the flakes and am still suffering from the increased reactions, though they are subsiding somewhat. Furthermore, the whole 7 months I was on NYFlakes I had intense cravings for them and would sometimes overeat them. Just like my behavior with candida-feeding carbohydrates in my pre-diet life. I feel that anything we crave intensely and want to overeat is probably not good for us (and I've read a comment by you implying the same thing)! > +++Hi , > > What healing reactions were you getting that were increased after you > changed from nutritional yeast flakes? > > Bee

If you did take them, how long were you on them before switching to NY Flakes? 3) How long have you now been on Vitamin B complex plus niacin? 4) Are you saying you got absolutely no healing reactions during the time you were taking NY Flakes? Taking 2 tablespoons of NY Flakes is extremely low in carbs, which is 5g carbs less 4g fibers = 1g net carbs, so it would not feed candida any more than 2 tablespoons of broccoli. Not all cravings are for things/foods that are not good for us. I crave red meats and they are good for us. Bee
Guest guest
Hi Bee, 1. Been completely on the program for 8 months 1 week. 2. I took NY Flakes the first 7 months. 3. I've been on B plus niacin the past month and one week. 4. I got intense healing reactions when I started the program 8 months ago. They eventually decreased through these months, but flared up again once I switched from NYF to b + niacin. Maybe NYF are low in carbs, but I feel that they are not a good thing for my body. I felt heavy in my stomach after eating them, which I didn't have after meals without the NYF, and I don't have at all now. Guest guest
Dear , Thank you for your reply. I used to take nutritional yeast flakes (uncooked), but I stopped taking them a couple of months ago. I didn't see any changes. Right now, after not taking any supplements for 6 days because I ran out of some of them while being away, I'm reintroducing them one by one to see if they create reactions. Today, I reintroduced natural factors clear base vitamin E (with soybean oil), and I did have reactions, but maybe they were healing reactions: heart and oesophagus burn and the feeling that food is stuck in my throat, abdominal pain and gas, as well as the sensation of being stabbed in the heart. Best wishes, Helene --- En date de : Mar 17.5.11, Stiles <clairesam@...> a écrit : De: Stiles <clairesam@...> Objet: Re: [ ] Re: Nefarious Substances/Additives in Supplements? Guest guest
****** Dear Bee, What i wrote is correct. I've been on the program completely for over 8 months. Of those 8 months, I was on nutritional yeast flakes the first 7 months. The last month I have switched to B vitamin + niacin. As for craving meat vs. craving bad foods, people may crave meat, but they don't usually overeat it as they do carbs. Dr. Atkins's book mentions a study showing people wouldn't overeat meat. I don't have any desire to stuff myself on meat or eggs like I did with NYF. Thanks, On Wed, May 18, 2011 at 8:29 AM, Bee <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Hi Bee, > > > > 1. Guest guest
Hi Bee, When I first started the program 8 months ago, I had intense healing reactions (due to going from my old diet to yours, which was a move in a positive direction). Now that I've stopped the NYF, I'm having healing reactions at a similar intensity. It makes me suspect that cutting them out was another move in a positive direction. Hope that makes sense, On Wed, May 18, 2011 at 11:57 AM, Bee <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: > > > > +++Hi , > Then how can you claim you got intense healing reactions when you first > started on my program when you were taking NYF, yet you claim you didn't get > them again until you stopped taking NYF? > > Bee > > >
