Hi -

Yes, I have had this problem - my doc says due to my

adrenal burnout and thyroid disease. Now I have to go

to the health club and sit in the steam room just to

break a sweat!

I think sweating is very important and I remember rarely breaking a sweat in

the early stages of my illness about 20 years ago. I do much better in

summer when it gets hot and I start sweating. I'd get in the sauna - Ive

notice my ability to sweat inthe sauna increases over time - so maybe there

is some internal learning going on.

Hi Bee,

Is it normal not to sweat while exercising while being a few months in on this

diet? If yes can you explain why ...

Thanks Bee

+++Hi ,

What kind of exercises were you doing? Did it make you feel as if you were

overheated, i.e. too hot? Did your skin get red or blotchy with red spots?

Are you taking 1.5 teaspoons of good ocean sea salt per day, along with all

other supplements and following the diet accurately and consistently? Are you

meeting your daily ratios of protein, fat and carbs?

After you reply I may be able to explain it.

Hi Bee,

The exercise have been doing x3 a week is walking and slow jogging for about

10-15mins then I do leg, arms and stomach work for about 10 mins each using

light weights.( I have noted that you suggest not to exercise a lot on this

program so the body can use the energy to heal itself)..I used to exercise

everyday for 1 hour...so I have cut back a lot.

I would just get red in the face not blotchy while doing exercise before the

diet...it is also getting really cold...as winter is coming ...maybe that could

be something to do with it too

I feel I need to exercise as otherwise,being a food addict in the past I really

miss that 'high' feeling I would get with sugar and carbs.....I start feeling

depressed if 4 days go by and I haven't done exercise.

I am 174cm tall, weight - 53-55kg (lost a bit since starting)

My Ratio's generally around these on Fit Day are:

Fat 194.3g ......78%

Protein 84g.......15%

Carbs 26g.........6%

Calories - 2,193

I have about 1- 1 1/2  teaspoon sea salt and take all the supp's everyday.

Thanks Bee,

+++Hi ,

First, the percentage of carbs is not used, instead you consider the amount of

grams in each food group. I calculated your ratios and they are:

Protein 74 grams

Carbohydrates 59 grams

Fats from 185 to 259 grams & #65279;

Therefore your ratios on Fitday are good, since it is okay to have more protein

and less carbs as long as your fats are with the range of 185 - 259 grams.

In answer to your question about not sweating, it appears you are not doing

enough exercise to work up a sweat particularly since it also isn't hot weather.
