Yes It can be frozen. I put mine in a ziploc bag to protect it from moisture.

Question for

Hi , did I remember correctly that you have said we can freeze thyroid? I just received my order of Naturethyroid, and I am wondering how long I can freeze it for, and how I should do it? Thank you,Kathleen

why would you need a total thyroidectomy? I can't think of a good reason

for that. remember most docs are very confused about thyroid issues.

All illness stems from a violation of "nature's" way of living. For me it is against the way God designed. We eat foods that do not nourish our cells and we poison ourselves with chemicals. We take better care of our cars than we do our body - having regular tire rotations, oil changes and tune ups. But how many people do regular liver cleanses or even know that this is important. How many people focus on rotating foods to make sure you get a variety of nutrients they offer? Not many....

So as an answer to your question - No I do not believe RAI fixes anything. You are not suffering of a lack of RAI but a lack of nutrients and overload of toxins. RAI only adds to the problem by destroying the gut, taxing adrenals, making you at high risk of acute myeloid leukemia and more. It's barbaric - as is ripping out a thyroid. When you have liver cancer you don't remove your liver - you heal it. You can heal the thyroid too. People do heal organs all the time with alternative treatments.

Thank you so much for what you wrote. I totally agree, so good to hear you do too. I have had this thyroid nodule for over 24 years, was told to have my thyroid removed back then and instead did the GersonTherapy and have lead a very clean life since, eating all organic, pure water, detoxes, etc. For some reason over the last year, the nodule has gotten bigger and is interfering with my swallowing, it is also in this time period that I have increased my Lugol's.(so my first thought was that my thyroid was enlarging to capture the iodine) In anycase, the nodule is 4mm and it appears it is time for it to be taken out . (something I have never wanted and over the last 24 years have done my best to avoid). Taking the alternative road has been so wonderful for me though, as I became very interested in alternative cancer therapies, learned so much and have helped many people over the years; if it wasn’t for the size of the nodule, I would still not even think of surgery. I wont know until the surgery if its cancer or not(hoping that after 24 years with no other health problems that it is not) and I know if it is they will want to do RAI; and I wont do it. Thank you very much for answering how you did, it was just what I needed to hear! You are truly a gem and we are so lucky to have you and this group. Kathleen

Is this nodule on one side of the thyroid? Can you just remove part of the thyroid? My ENT removed 3/4 of my thyroid the first surgery so I know it is possible.

Well, friday they did an ultra sound and found two one cm nodules on the left lobe. The right lobe has the 4cm nodule.(earlier I wrote it was 4 mm, wishful thinking I guess) =-) My ENT said he was hoping there would only be the one so he could leave the left lobe intact. Now its looking like the whole thing should come out. He said that is easier than finding out later it needs to come out and having to have a second operation.and honestly, after 24 years of watching the one in the right lobe, I don’t want to have to be watching the two in the left. Only thing I am really concerned about are the parathyroids, he is keenly aware of them so hoping they will be okay. I have been on Armour/Naturethroid natural thyroid for 24 years so am not worried about that. Anyway, I appreciate your input and for sure, no RAI for me! Kathleen

i bet the people that have myloid leukemia get it from having xrays. they say women are more prone to it. my mother in law had myloproliferative disorder which turned into acute myloid leukemia. my mil had her thyroid out and i would suspect rai. i will say, i have had a few issues, infertility, problematic deliveries ,a hysterectomy due to precancerous condition, i have had triple by pass, and diabetes, and i had my thyroid out. my thyroid out has me very upset. if i could get it back i would. if i knew then what i know now, but at least i told him no to rai..and people who don't have health issues don't understand. period. diane, near philly, pa On Feb 22, 2010, at 9:30 PM, ladybugsandbees wrote:All illness stems from a violation of "nature's" way of living. Hi Wanda,

I use Lýsi brand cod liver oil that is produced in Iceland. I live in Europe,

so I don't know if you would be able to find this brand where you live.

Here is the link: http://www.lysi.eu/ConsumerProducts/CodLiverOil/CodLiverOil/

As Bee wrote, it's a brand that she would recommend. She couldn't possibly know

about all the brands out there, but I do know that this one is particularly

good. I use the one that is natural tasting, without added flavourings.
