I've only gotten slighly tingly and itchy, but it's very mild. Also, my stomach is always gurgling, my legs have had cramps sometimes at night and I still am very bloated after almost every meal. I also have diarrhea or very loose stools too. Is this all normal? > > Thanks, > > *** Hi I did a quick search of the archives here on the forum site and found Bee stating this to someone else with a very similar question about the lack of niacin flush: " When you do not flush it does not mean niacin isn't helping your body. " While you wait for Bee to sign back on in the morning, you could review some articles on her site. One in entitled " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " . If this link takes you to the top of the article, you can scroll down to the section entitled: " The Healing Crisis.... " . <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php#s40> Please note that Bee no longer believes that candida can be killed off; she has not had time to update all the articles on her site. But the article can give you some better understanding why you're getting the symptoms you are, which sound like normal detoxing/healing symptoms. To your better health! :-) , moderator

Is this all normal? > +++Hi , Your body flushes from niacin when it is ready and able to do it, which doesn't happen all of the time, not even in healthy people. All of your other symptoms are normal while your body is healing itself. Also IF you ever had any of those symptoms in the past your body will be retracing each and every episode you had with them as it heals itself - see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php All disease processes are exactly the same as healing and detoxifying processes created by the body itself in an effort to maintain its health, in spite of poor nutrition, toxins, etc. As Taubes writes in his book Good Calories, Bad Calories, p. 142: " . . .the fundamental feature of all living organisms is the interdependence of the parts of the body to the whole . . . " " . . .all physiological systems [body processes] have to work together to assure survival. " " . . all of the vital mechanisms [processes], however varied they may be, have only one object, that of preserving constant the conditions of life in the internal environment. " However, the medical industry labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate dis-eases, illnesses, symptoms, syndromes, etc. which are actually normal body reactions and processes. In other words, they are simply " signs " the body is attempting to restore its own balance. As Florence Nightengale, the famous nurse, says: " There are no specific diseases; there are [only] specific disease conditions. " People on this healthy program are giving their bodies what they need to become healthy, so they are now able to progress towards health rather than become more and more unhealthy, or dis-eased. But during the healing processes you cannot avoid symptoms and reactions. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi . Personally, I find that I only get the flush when I take the tablet with water and crunch it up in my mouth for a minute or so before swallowing. As the B vitamins are water-soluble it is more logical that it would be better taken with water. If I just swallow it straight down or take it with the egg drink or some food I don't get the flush. It might be worth a try if you want to experience the flush. I don't actually like the flush so tend to swallow it with my food and hope that the niacin is still working ok.
