Guest guest
Hey bee, I have been having health issues for the past few years. These have included anxiety/panic, adrenal exhaustion, fatigue, bad brain fog, weight loss and more. I started working with a good practitioner who had me get off of gluten and found an H. pylori infection that i successfully got rid of. My problem is that my system is very gunked up from dealing with gluten intolerance and H. pylori for the past few years. I am working with very good people and i know my body does better on a fairly low-carb diet. My main problem is that when i cut out things like squash/sweet potatoes and things like that I naturally eat more fat. People with gluten intolerance often have fat malabsorption. So i am sort of stuck here. It does seem though that when i stick very strictly to the diet for a few days and eat plenty of coconut oil and get plenty of sun i have an abrupt " good " day or two followed by a really down couple days and some foul bowel movements. I think this is probably a healing crisis but I am not sure. Do you have any advice for someone who's body is struggling to digest fats/proteins well but also needs to be on a low carb diet? -Joe

There is no such thing as fat malabsorption or intolerances to the " good " fats I recommend, since they do not go through the liver, nor do they require any digestive enzymes or bile in order to be absorbed and utilized. Instead they go from the small intestines through the lymphatic system directly into the bloodstream. Of course all good foods like coconut oil will help your body so it will react by creating natural healing and detoxifying symptoms and reactions in order to heal itself. The reason you are getting foul bowel movements is because your body is detoxifying itself, which is normal to happen on this healthy program. Meats, eggs and fats are the very easiest foods for any Human body to digest and utilize compared to any carbs (all plant foods, including vegetables), since they require so little of the body's energy and resources. In fact carbs are not necessary for human health at all, since you can get all of the nutrients humans need from only meats, eggs and good fats. That's why the Eskimos and Masai Tribe in Africa were the healthiest people on Earth that Dr. Weston A. Price researched.
