Hi Bee,

Just a quick question......I am taking  Garden of Life...Olde World

Icelandic Cod Liver Oil (Lemon Mint Flavor)...I worked out this with

your daily recommendations:

4 teaspoons gives me:

Total Omega 3 : 3092mg (DHA - 1812mg and EPA - 1280mg)

Vit A: 20,000IU

Vit D : 800IU

My question is 'somewhere' ( I remember reading it after I received my order)

you recommend taking a fish 'liver' capsule as well as the above product..is

this somehow more beneficial??

So ...do I need to reduce my above dose and purchase the fish Liver Oil....or

can I just stick to what I am taking?

Thanks Bee,

+++Hi ,

See my reference for Garden of Life cod liver oil calculations:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php#s9

1 teaspoon contains:

5,000 IU Vitamin A

200 IU Vitamin D

453 DHA

320 EPA

962 Total Omega-3

4 teaspoons equals:

Vitamin A, 5,000 x 4 = 20,000 IU

Vitamin D, 200 x 4 = 800 IU

Omega-3 962 x 4 = 3,484 mg

Therefore taking 4 teaspoons is too much Omega 3, so that's why I recommend

taking 1 tablespoon (equals 3 teaspoons) per day plus 10,000 IU Vitamin A and

400 IU Vitamin D in addition from halibut, shark or cod liver oil. It is also

less expensive.
