One man reported that his insurance was much cheaper because of it. But that depends upon the individual which involves many other factors, including age, how debilitated they were before, etc. While the body is detoxing cholesterol levels will be higher, so that's why cholesterol increases after starting on this program. If your husband has enough time he could try to lower his cholesterol with niacin (B3) by gradually increasing doses, but at the same time he has to increase other supplements.
