Guest guest
Im struggling keeping my son interested in the diet, and finding creative ways to make eggs, or meat . Anyone have any advice? How much of a problem is it for me to add quina or a small amount of rice every few days or once a week, or some kind of fruit. What is the nutritional setback for a developing 7 year old boy to not have fruit, or dairy? I feel like this is the right thing to do for adults but having some trouble coming to terms with is for my son....not that I want him to be out there eating mcdonalds and bread and cake or anything, but I dont see a ton of harm in fruit ever so often or nuts as a snack. He hasnt had nearly as much damage done to him as I have done to myself over the years..... Am i crazy? Its hard to break the mental cycle of everything Ive been told as a healthy lifestyle(Ie food pyramid) I feel like Its ok for me to try new things and make decisions for myself and If im wrong Im wrong but dont want to make any mistakes with him and his development.... He understands why we eat differently then others but it certainly doesnt stop him from trying to snak cupcakes at school when a class member has a cupcake....I would rather him eat some srot of fruit or something that a gluten filled frosting cupcake.... So again sorry for the rambling, I just need some help here, I dont see alot of stuff on here about kids and development and how important diet is to them and the bones/body. Is this diet not meant for children this young? Thanks to everyone for your help and IM certainly open to anything you have to say!
