Guest guest
Hi Theresa, I was thinking about the last time you posted to me and what you said about depriving your son. How about thinking about this the other way around? Instead of depriving, why not think about it in terms of 'providing' him wonderful healing food? You can take away all the negativity and feel fantastic that you are giving him access to the planet's most amazing and miraculous food! Especically if you can cure his asthma which can be very debilitating and confining, even if it is not as life threatening as my daughter's was. Fruit and pretzels are not great for anyone, even the healthiest amongst us, in great quantities.(Have you seen the recent research about fructose?) Remember we are adapted physiologically to be hunter gatherers and would have only had access to fruit and nuts during a very limited period of the year. We also wouldn't have wrecked our guts and our nutritional status with processed carbs and sugar either, so would have been much better equipped to digest it and assimilate it than even the healthiest amongst us can now. If you are a candida sufferer and your son is, then your daughter, although healthy will probably be nutritionally compromised. Everyone will benefit from the amazing food on this program. Don't hesitate to ask, if I can be of any more help. All the best,
Guest guest
Thank you so much . I so appreciate your input. You have no idea. The last week I have been thinking about what my son actually eats since his naturopathic doctor put him on a gluten free and dairy free diet. I was trying to reason in my head that if I take away his " snacky " foods and give him my " snacky " foods, he loves everything I eat and it might be easier than I think. YOu're right, it is not about depriving him, but giving him more nutritious food to benefit him. I am meeting with my nutritionist next week and we are going over everything about my son. She is the one who recommended I do SCD then Bee's diet to help with my Crohn's. I think from there, I might just try this with him and see how he does. He loves everything I eat and I make all his meals, so it definitely is doable. It's all what we get used to. Thanks again and may you have the best 2011 ever!!
