Thank you for your wishes for my sister and I in caring for my Mom. : ) Bioflavonoids are substances found in most foods that contain vitamin C and they work together. Both vitamin C and bioflavonoids are also in meats. It isn't a sugar and is in a class by itself, called flavones. Actually all carbs (plant foods) feed candida since they are all changed into sugar inside our bodies. But it is impractical and unnecessary to eliminate all carbs, particularly low carb vegetables and vitamin C supplements even if they are made from citrus. If the vitamin C I recommend wasn't helping, people on my program would not be getting the great successes they are having.
