Guest guest
Hi Bee Thank you for the wonderful reassurance that I will be able to swim and do not have to give it up. Every time I read your story I can not believe what you have been through. It helps me summon the courage to go through whatever I am going through knowing how well you are today As for the copper in my hair. When I was researching the best doctor (dentist) to start my journey of Mercury removal I chose a holistic Dentist who trains with Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt. Dr. Klinghardt has had much successes with Autism and many other chronic and degenerative disease through detox from metals. He has developed a system of testing called ART (Autonomic response testing) which enables him to determine on the spot exactly how a patient is reacting to a certain substance and how much of a substance this patient can take. Here is a link to his Healing Protocols which my dentist refers to regularly in his monitoring of my progress (in healing after removing the fillings) Dr.Klighardt Healing Protocols pdf. Also, I highly recommend his fascinating lectures: here is a link to his Website. Dr Klinghardt talks My Dentist uses ART to monitor the supplements and determine how my body is reacting to the healing process (after removal of fillings). However, as you can imagine, this is all costing a lot of money and I have to keep seeing my dentist for my progress and this should probably tae many month - I just can not afford to be monitored by anyone any longer and yet, my symptoms are not gone (of course) and I need to get the metal and everything else that my weakening body has been attracting over the years. But here's is specific to the copper. Holistic doctors like to use Hair testing when determining the kinds of metals and the quantities the body emits by way of hair Reading the results of such an analysis is sort of tricky though This is because " the amount of an element that is irreversibly incorporated into a growing hair is proportional to the level of the element in the body tissues. Therefor hair elements analysis provides an indirect screening test for physiological excess. " (I am quoting form the lab papers sent to me with my hair analysis. so for instance is there is an excess of Magnesium in the hair analysis it points to maldistribution of Magnesium in the body When it comes to copper it says if hair shows excess of copper (which mine does among other things) it is important to consider the exogenous contaminating sources. Fist thing to consider with hair is hair dyes bleaches etc. But I use none, then it says that " swimming pools and hot water baths. are also contributors to high copper in hair. intake of competitively absorbed element such as zinc or molybdenum can lead to worsen Copper excess. Here is the name of the lab: Doctors Data Inc, based in Chicago IL (It might be interesting for you to get a hair analysis, as another fascinating window to body reactions. I'm not sure I made sense here, as you can see it a lot of info and I probably jumped from one thing to the next. I could scan this " Hair Element Report Introduction " which came with my hair analysis and send it to you if you are interested. Yours with thanks Ellie

I disagree with relying on hair analysis for any reason, particularly for copper as explained in this article: Hair Analysis and Replacement Therapy by Lawrence , MD, © January 2010, The Center For Development http://www.drlwilson.com/articles/REPLACEMENT%20THERAPY.htm Quote from the article about copper: " Each mineral concentrates in specific tissues and organs. This may come as a shock to some people. However, it is easily understood. Hair is a tissue of the body. Some minerals concentrate in the hair, while other minerals concentrate in other organs and tissues of the body. Copper, for example, accumulates in the brain, the liver and in women, in the female organs. Lead accumulates in the bones. Mercury and cadmium accumulate in the kidneys and liver, and so forth. " All the best, Bee
