I have her at 6 eggs, 7 Tbsp butter, 4 Tbsp coconut oil (she's currently at 3 T/day and is increasing to 4), 4 oz meat and two cups of broth (plus whatever veggies she wants). > > Even that is not high enough in fat. > > I chose that many eggs in order to increase her fat intake, which would lower the amount of meat she would eat. Increasing meat intake would mean having to increase more fat intake. I can't imagine consuming 7 Tbsp/butter/day!! > > Can someone who is 5'9 " give me a sample of what you consume in a day to meet your ratios? +++Hi , She must increase all fats, including butter, slowly, since it also increases healing and detoxifying reactions. That's why anyone who goes on this program has to make their own plan for slowly lowering carbs, and at the same time ensure their protein intake isn't too high while they are trying to increase their fats. Starting olut with 5 eggs can cause problems since they are high in sulphur which also increase detoxification. She can melt butter in her broth, melt it over cooked meats and vegetables, which improves the flavor of all foods. Bee

She is moving from 3 T CO to 4 T CO this week. And she 'only' consumes 8 T butter in a week; she will have to increase that slowly as well. > > My main question was: do i have the menu right? Is she ultimately going to have to consume 7 Tbsp butter and 4 T CO (or 5.5 T CO with 5.5 Tbsp+ butter) a day to get her fat intake high enough? > > It just seems like the protein (actual food) is so low compared to the amount of fat she will need to consume. ***Yes you have it right, and yes it is true that protein is much lower by comparison to fats since this is a high-fats program. > > I must say that for as much as she hs followed the pgm, she is so proud of several HOORAHS so far: One is that the smell of the bakery (in her grocery store) does not call her name anymore! She is also so pleased that she can tie her shoes w/o being out of breath (she has lost girth). +++That's wonderful ! Kudos to you and your sister!
