Guest guest
Dear Bee and Company, I did the 9 day program as recommended. Since then I have been doing the meat and fat program. Things are going well, I think. I still haven't lost any weight though, and I'm wondering about the birth control pill being the culprit. At one point, I had endometriosis very badly, and had a very extensive surgery to remove part of my colon, which was nearly blocked in one area, from endo. Since that time, I have been on the pill to manage the endo, not so much for birth control anymore. I am leery of discontinuing the pill, as I take it for three months straight and then have a mense. They opted for this protocol, as my hair would fall out every month when the hormones wildly flexuated. By the time I'm at the third pack of pills, I am miserable. I am still on blood pressure meds, and have respiratory issues which I've been told will make it necessary to take meds always. It is the bottom number that is too high. The top one can be, but isn't always. *Should I continue to take the pill, or go off it cold turkey? What should I expect after being on it for several years as a hormone replacement? *What about the blood pressure med..do I wait until the b.p. improves, and then proceed or what? I'm overdue for a physical and feel it is a waste of time. It is nothing that needs to happen and just gives them more latitude in the management of my life which I would rather be free of pharmaceuticals. I have read that mammograms are dangerous, though my mom wouldn't be here had she not had one at the right time. She is a breast cancer survivor. WHAT do you say, Bee? Thanks ever so much, Jen B. Guest guest
Hi, after your body retraces it's highest weight, then does it go back down to the weight your body should be (or what you feel best at)? Also, does everyone retrace weight gain? Thank you,

Guest guest
I'm LOSING weight on the program, and I completely believe its the Coconut oil thats helping me lose weight. I also purchased a book called The Coconut Cure, and even in there it states that Coconut oil can help you lose weight, as well as that its antifungal, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral, and that there is so many benefits of consuming Coconut oil on a daily bases. So Im definately staying with the diet. Cheers, Carol
Guest guest
Hi, Bee, I will need a questionnaire, too, as I also have gained weight on your program and it has gone up and down. I was never overweight in my past, although I have been at higher weights when pregnant twice and when I gained the freshman 15 lbs. in college. I started your program 1 year ago last January 2010. I had already read about the lower ratios with Optimal Diet (x .5) and have been doing very low carb the whole time. I have always kept my fat at the lower range, Optimal Diet ranges listed online. Thanks. > > > +++Hi Pam. I just sent a questionnaire to you and the other women who gained weight on this program. But that doesn't mean they will get up to their highest weight or down to their lowest weight. You body normalizes its weight after it has completely healed itself, which takes 1 month for every year you've been unhealthy, and for most people today that is since before they were born. Guest guest
Hi Bee. I have been on the Candida program for almost 2 years. I had written about weight gain in October. At that time you suggested that I cut the lemon drink, and I did, adding sea salt to water for taking the supplements. I have continued to gain weight even following the program closely. For your previous reply to me, please see message 98025. I am still dismayed about the weight gain and clothes not fitting. Thanks, Janice

Guest guest
I'm assuming this would be the same for anorexia and eating disorders? I had one in high school and part of college. I've gained a little weight on the program, which was welcome and I feel like I'm stabilized. Ilve been almost all the way on the program for over a year now, but being a graduate student I don't have enough time or money at the moment to be 100% on it all the time. However, I have been cured of almost everything that ailed me previously (anemia, hypoglycemia, acne, adrenal fatigue and countless other little things.) I'm not sure if my candida is gone, but I plan to eat similar to this forever so I think it will change back eventually. I hope I won't be losing much weight if I ever do retrace the eating disorder. I have also a brief question regarding moles and things. Last night I noticed a tiny new one like the size of a needle head on the underside of my arm, and I decided to pick it off, and it came right off and bled. I don't suppose this counts as those stories i've heard of moles falling off? Is it harmful to pick them off? do other members get new ones while on the program? I'm sorry I'm not on the program entirely yet but I've been on a 90% version of it for a year and it's really helping me. Warmly, Cara > > > > Hi, after your body retraces it's highest weight, then does it go back down to the weight your body should be (or what you feel best at)? > > Also, does everyone retrace weight gain? > > +++Hi , > > From my experience with so many people, it appears that most people retrace weight changes they had throughout their life, whether it is too low of a weight or too high. I have done extensive reading on CO as well as gaining information from my own healing process and like Carol, I am convinced that CO is the major key to keeping my weight down. Through trial and error have discovered that: -I gain weight with carbs. I began with the target ratio but ended up slowly backing down. I would decrease them by 5 grams every few days until I settled in at an amount that I could feel in my body was right.I don't know exactly how many grams I get on a given day but it's around 20 or so. If I increase, I gain weight. - I have to watch my butter amounts more carefully than my CO. I eat about 6 T. a day but was eating more before I made a connection that I couldn't get by with as much. -I gain weight when I eat past full. It was confusing at first because to get in my correct ratios meant I ate past full. Bee said not to do that and that if I am more sedentary, I can lower my ratios by 10% (correct me if I'm wrong on the percentage Bee) so I'm pretty consistently on the very low end of my ratios - except for fat. -CO is the key to keeping my weight down. I worked up to the 6 T. a day and have been eating that amount since. In fact, for a time I was loosing too much weight (I didn't need to)and upped my carbs a tad to keep from dropping more weight. I don't claim any of this will work the same for anyone else but it might be of help to someone. Anita
Guest guest
Hi Bee I have been on this program 6 years this spring. I was sickly and 118 lbs when I started and immediately dropped to 115. After about 5 months I went back up to 118 and over the next year slowly gained weight to my usual 125. The following year I slowly gained to 135 which was still within my range and I felt good but it was 10 lbs more than ever before. During my third fall/winter on the diet I had a lot of migraines and quit monitoring my weight. By spring I noticed a lot of fat on my thighs, hips and belly. My weight was now 143 lbs. I had never been this weight before except during my pregnancies. I easily lost 10 pounds that spring and summer by increasing my aerobic activities and by decreasing butter consumption. The weight on my thighs was now gone. I gained a few pounds over the following winter when I started to eat more butter again and winter squash since I was mostly healed (it is the only food I have reintroduced on a regular basis). I went down to 126 pounds last summer but have gained to 130 over this winter and still have hip and belly fat. I have concluded that for me it is the extra carbohydrates from the squash that causes my weight gain and I can't have more than 2 tbsp of butter a day. Lard, coconut oil and daily broth are my fats now with only limited butter. I used to eat butter whenever I was hungry. I am now cutting out the squash and my weight is dropping again. I think that while we are healing some weight gain may be part of the process and we shouldn't fight it. Once we are healed then we can tweak the diet to see what foods are causing our specific problems. Hope this is of some use to someone. Is it harmful to pick them off? +++When you pick it off and it bleeds your body has to heal it, so it may form a scab in the meantime. It isn't a good idea to take it off suddenly like that. >>> do other members get new ones while on the program? +++I got a new wart in the crack of my butt after going on high fats, which they say is caused by the herpes virus. However it came and went in a short time, so there was some kind of toxins that had to come out that way. > > I'm sorry I'm not on the program entirely yet but I've been on a 90% version of it for a year and it's really helping me. +++Good for you Cara. Guest guest
> > I too have noticed my lower stomach bloated most of the time now....this concerns me as well.. +++Hi there. What is your name please? Bloating of your lower abdomen is not because your body is increasing its body fat. Bloating is a very common detox and healing symptom that most people on this program experience, which gas, mainly caused by eating raw carbs (all plant foods). In order to lessen the bloating ensure you only have well-cooked carbs as explained in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/veg3.php Also ensure you are calculating your ratios of protein to fat to carbs - you'll need these two articles: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods8.php http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods9.php All the best, Bee
