Guest guest
Hello Ladies, I thought I would share about my weight loss and gains while on Bee's diet. My history does involve past weight and hormone issues. My weight has fluctuated 12-15 pounds while consistantly on Bee's diet for over 2 years. (I've added a note at the very end regarding my thoughts on women who have not had weight issues or " known " hormone issues in the past.) In the first two months of Bee's diet, I lost 15 pounds which stayed off for a year. After that, I gained back 12 without changing what I ate nor exercising. Some history: I do have hormone issues and 4 fibroids. Known female issues started at age 16 with an ovarian cyst. I was on and off the pill since 17 until my late twenties. In my early twenties, I weighed around 148 and stood 5'9 " . My late twenties, I started to gain weight. By age 38, in February 08, my highest weight was 196 at 5'7 " . (Not sure how I lost 2 " s in height. Maybe some whiplashes in my neck and osteoarthritis in my back?) I went on a diet based on the principles of Weston A. Price. Lost weight but very hungry. The diet was still high in sugars and starches. By July 29, 08, I was down 35 pounds to 164. I was only able to lose another 3 up tol November 5, 08 putting me at 161. While my health improved slightly, I was still quite sick. On November 5, I started Bee's diet at 161. The first 17 days, I lost 9 pounds. By January 3 almost two months later, I was down a total of 15 pounds to 146. I maintained around 146 for the first year of Bee's diet. At the beginning of the second year on the diet, my weight crept up 12 pounds in a few months to 158. I maintained around 158 for the next year until last week, I was up to 164! Then guess what, yesterday I was back down to 158.5. I lost 5.5 pounds in 5 days. While my weight has fluctuated, I have been progressing toward health. So many things have improved as I noted in a success story I reported not too long ago. With regards to women who have never had previous weight or " known " hormone issues, hormones are a touchy thing. I would think that hormones would flucuate during the disease process (lack of oxygen, nutrients, overload of toxins and stress) and healing process (oxgyen, new nutrients, detoxification and less stress). Bee also talks about hormones in this article. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cabout1.php Just my two cents. Bee can pipe in more if she so chooses. I'm sure it will help other women be less concerned about their weight gain and/or fluctuations in weight on this program. So far only 1 woman of the 6 questionnaires I've received is on the edge of being over weight. All of the others have Normal Weight, so it seems like the body's idea of what is good weight is different than the women think their weight should be. Luv & Hugs, Bee
