Guest guest
> I certainly don't want you to leave the list. I was just curious why you were on the list since you had your GB out. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of MD's and like to take care of my own health. I'm certainly glad you are not having any problems since having your GB removed. However, I certainly do know of lots of people that are suffering tremendously since having theirs removed. > > Craig The ideal is to keep the gallbladder if you can, but the reality is that, just going by folks that I know personally, there are many more that are doing great who had their gallbladders removed as soon as they were told to than not, in fact we had a " run " on gallbladder-removals at our church last year, about 5 had them removed within a 6 month period, and I must say I get a bit jealous watching them eat whatever they want now. This is true of a few family members, etc., and other friends. No gallbladders, and they are fine. We don't hear from them because they aren't on here looking for solutions, we only hear from the ones that are struggling so it's easy to conclude that having the gallbladder removed causes many people trouble. The other side of the coin is, so far, I still have my GB, and it has a way of keeping me careful of what I eat. When I look at all that grease, lard, fatty meat, etc., that they are now eating, I thank my sometimes annoying gallbladder for stopping me from eating things like that that aren't good for me. I still take small amounts of oils, making my own salad dressings with olive oil, etc., and take flax seed oil and lecithin daily, and when my gallbladder needs cleansing, I feel it even from those good oils, but won't stop taking the oils because of it...they are essential, and without them, there isn't much to stimulate the gallbladder so everything just sits there. That would just make the problem worse. I can't say I'm never going to have my GB removed, however. I was idealistic like that when I started flushing about 15+ years ago, but realistically, who can ever be sure? Just MHO. L.
