I've been gaining weight too! I was pretty big to begin with (6'1 " and about

280 pounds), but my gut has been getting bigger and bigger. I weighed myself a

few days ago and am up to about 315 pounds. I look pregnant and then some

(which I am not--too old for that at 57).

I started nearly two years ago, in about March 2009 (not sure when I was fully

on the program). Some weeks I have a cheat or two (starving when doing errands,

so I eat a burger), some weeks I do really well.

Well, my upper arms and hips are also kind of big. My butt itself is not all

that big... the biggest gain has been in the abdomen (from under the breasts all

the way down, and I also have a pannus that hangs over). Some days I am short

of breath, and it is uncomfortable to bend over.

Some days I still feel like I need to eat everything in sight.

I only was on birth control pills for a year, back when I was 21. I briefly got

hold of some Armour thyroid a few years back and took some until I ran out. I

also briefly used some progesterone cream topically.

Fortunately I work at home, so there is not so much pressure to buy new clothes

all the time. But some knit shirts I bought a while back are too small for me

now. If I wear them, my gut hangs out. At home I mostly wear sweat pants... I

save the regular fabric pants for when I need to leave the house.

I know that gaining weight is the least of my problems, but I can hardly wait

for the time when I start losing weight!
