I hope that you can. some people can and some

can't. just take care of yourself and don't overdo it.

If you are tired take a break. Take the clues from

your body. if it needs rest...give it to it.
God

bless you

That is a tough job you have for someone who is

going to do treatment. Treatment is very difficult at

best. For someone who drives like you do, it can be

extremely bad. The fatigue is the worst part I think. Does

your company offer any kind of disability leave and

pay? You may want to consider taking it while you are

on treatment.

Good luck to

you.

LeighAnn
<a href=http://www.geocities.com/1Leighann

You have a great attitude Jack!! Just keep in

mind that your body will need more rest than normal,

and let it have the rest. Drink more water than you

have ever drank in your life while on treatment. It

helps ease the sides.

I will say that when I

did the Peg Combo my sides were nowhere near as bad

as when I did the other stuff. Only doing the shot

once a week really does make a difference. Just watch

for the mood swings. They are real and they are

strong!

LeighAnn

I don't mean to be disagreeable but I am !!! I do

not agree with the " get on a good antidepressant

before starting treatment " Why put another substance

into your body that your liver has to work to filter

out??? if you don't need it ??? I went though the

interferon treatment for 6 months and the combo treatment 2

different time one for 7 months and another for 8 & 1/2

months and I never even considered an antidepressant and

did not need it !!! i had a good support system and

my oldest son who knows me oh so well was put

incharge of letting me know if he felt that I was in need

of help. I made it through with flying colors...so

getting on antidepressants is not necessarly the thing to

do!!!...tricia..
trishdish13@...

Smiles we are all different and each has

different needs..I start " peg " did 16 weeks with no

anti-depressant,wasn't unbearable to me,but I did notice I was " short

and a little off center with my family and friends "

which to me wasn't fair to them
I talked with my

doc's about this, they sugested I try one called

" celexa " it doesn't get me high at all,my mood swings have

ended,no one it tip toeing around me any more, things seem

to be better
I'm a post liver transplant

patient, and can understand not wanting to take " more

meds "
all I'm suggesting is to keep a open mind, things

change, our needs change...we fight this dragon the best we

can,I wish you all the luck and best

Trish not everyone has the perfect environment

LeighAnn, I guess that I didn't come across very

clear. That is exactally what I was trying to say. That

the advice of automatically getting on an

antidepressant is not the best advice. That that is something

that is very personal and that each person needs to

take under advisement and adjust to their own needs.I

was also saying that even though you think that you

are doing great you do need to have some kind of

support system. Even if it is a online friend, who can

pick up on your additude and warn you that you might

need to talk to your doctor.I agree that treatment is

anything but easy....but still say don't just run to your

doctor and get put on antidepressants give it alot of

thought and really talk it over with yur

doctor.....thanks

tricia

Hi Kristi

I read your message to Jodi about working and I just thought I'd let

you know what I'm (in the process of) doing. Like you I'm on a vent,

need suction, so I have a personal assistant with or nearby me all

the time. I have been so bored this yr so I thought I really needed

something to focus on, to keep my brain active etc, so I decided to

set up my own business on the internet, meaning I can work from

home. I won't go into detail because it's all in the planning stages,

but I am so excited about it! I am working with a company employed

by the employment service, who help people set up small businesses

and give you support for as long as you need. I had my first

appointment with them last week, where we discussed all my ideas

and they gave me 4 tasks to do. My next appointment's tomorrow so

touch wood I have done everything right!

Excellent, I love to hear success stories. Do you have to b careful

with what you earn with regard to your disability benefits? That is 1

thing that's going to be a pain in the bum for me :(

hi Tufty

I work in the Education Dept (truant children ohh!!) anyway about benefits, I

only work 18/5 hrs a week but for ur business even if ur gonna be self

employed and at home if you do more than 16 hrs a week you will lose SDA

allowance but can apply for disabled tax persons credit which more than makes

up for that. Also, i wanted to add in on this just so you know what ur

entitled to, Access to work (make contact thru the job centre) can help out

both financially (they pay for my PA to assist me in the loo at lunchtime and

take me to and from work) and in buying equipment. So if you need a brand

spanking new scanner for ur business then go forth and apply!!

if u need any more info just ask me

xx
