Bee-

My husband has been taking testosterone cream and has just started your candida

program. He has seen significant benefits from the cream. Should he keep

taking that supplement?

Thanks,

Lindsi

Hello Lindsi, If you don't mind answering, why is your husband using this cream?

I am interested and wondering what its benefits would be.

+++Hi Lindsi,

Why does he use it, and what does it help him with?

In any case, when he is completely on this program (diet plus all supplements)

he should stop using the cream.

+++Hi Lindsi,

No one should rely on blood tests for levels of hormones, nutrients, etc. since

they only test blood from the veins.

Your circulatory system, also known as the cardiovascular system, is the system

that, in humans and other higher animals, delivers oxygen, hormones and

nutrients throughout the body by a complex network of vessels, and it carries

carbon dioxide and waste products from the cells to organs that get rid of them,

which are mainly through the lungs, liver, skin, and kidneys.

There are two main types of vessels in the circulatory system:

1) The arteries

2) The veins

Arteries mainly contain oxygen from the lungs, nutrients from the digestive

system, and hormones, which they circulate to every cell throughout the body.

The cells uptake the oxygen, nutrients, and hormones, and dump their waste

products into the system along with carbon dioxide, which are carried away by

the veins.

Veins carry deoxygenated blood, carbon dioxide, waste products from the cells,

and any nutrients or hormones the cells didn't need and/ or couldn't uptake

(usually due to lack of other nutrients), back to the lungs so the carbon

dioxide can be released along with any other

waste products the lungs get rid of, and it circulates to other organs that get

rid of waste like the liver, skin, kidneys, etc.

Blood tests are taken from the veins, which contains blood that has been

depleted of nutrients, hormones, oxygen, etc. by cells throughout the body.

Therefore, blood from the veins mainly contain carbon dioxide, waste products

from the cells, and hormones and nutrients the cells didn't need and/or couldn't

use. The reason cells aren't able to uptake some nutrients and hormones is

because other nutrients that work along with them are lacking and/or because

cell membranes aren't healthy.

All cell membranes must be constructed out of 50% saturated fat (lung cell

membranes need 100%) in order to be healthy. If they aren't constructed properly

the cells become weak and are less able to intake nutrients, hormones, etc. and

get rid of their waste products.

Also toxins make cell membranes rigid/stiff so the cells are less able to uptake

nutrients, hormones, oxygen, water, etc.

For example: Testing vitamin D levels in the blood has become popular these days

however blood from the veins only indicates the amount of vitamin the cells

didn't or couldn't uptake. The same is true for any other nutrients and

hormones.

In conclusion, testing your blood for hormones, and nutrients like Vitamin D,

iron, calcium, B12, etc. is futile and meaningless since hormones and nutrients

in veins only indicate what the cells did not uptake or did not need or could

not use at a given time.

That is why it is important to stick to the basics, by following the diet and

only taking the supplements recommended. " More is not better. "

Your body is smart enough to balance out all of its nutrient levels, hormones,

etc. if it gets what it needs to do its job.

The best in health, Bee

  • 8 months later...

I would keep taking the DHEA.  Since this has shown it is helpful to you, then

continue with it.  Get it on prescription NHS.

I have been taking it for a few years now, the improvement continues.  The

imbalance in my hormones has so much improved; but this has happened over the

longterm....not just 12 months......

DHEA supports the adrenals, but also allows the body to decide what to do with

it....this is so much better than anyone second guessing, even with blood test

results, no-one does a better job than the body itself.

25mgs daily max for women and 50mgs daily max for men.

Hi everyone - I was wondering if anyone had had any success in either obtaining

testosterone cream from an overseas internet pharmacy or from anyone in the UK?

Hi; I get mine from www.hormonesolutions.au They have various strengths of

cream. It takes about 2-3 weeks to get here from Australia. A friend of

mine gets her testosterone on the nhs and I was sure it was a cream. She is off

on her hols at the moment but I will find out for sure when she returns.

Kind regards

Jane

since taking DHEA supplements this has increased to 0.8 and I feel so much

better in terms of memory, get up and go, motivation etc.

> My GP says the only thing they prescribe in the UK is patches and pills which

can cause liver damage, while my endocrinologist seems to refuse to believe I

need supplementation as he says he wants to return me to how I was before my

pituitary packed up partially, not turn me into something more (despite me

saying that the damn DHEA and testosterone rise is one of the few things that

has actually made me feel more normal - argh!).

> I know in the US you can get bioidentical testosterone cream at the drop of a

hat but it doesn't seem to be the case in the UK. If anyone knows different then

please let me know. Thanks in advance!
