HI Deborah

You might try dale's Pharmacy., You can get details about them if you click on FILES on the Home Page of our Forum and scroll down until you find dale's. They should be able to help you with bio-identical hormones. They do a purified version of thyroxine - though I would wait and see how you do on natural desiccated thyroid extract.

Hi Sheila and all,Since I'm so new to this and fairly new to the UK, I'm wonderinghow/where you each obtain bio-identical hormones here. I have beenusing liquid DHEA, compounded progesterone cream and compoundedtestosterone cream that I brought with me from the States. My gyn andcompounding pharmacist provided them for me. However, I'm interestedin what is available here. I'd also like to explore bio-identicalprogesterone capsules rather than the cream. Any direction andguidance? Oh yes, one more thing, from where do you purchase theadrenal supports that have been mentioned in the forum? Although I haven't started with Armour T, it's on the way. I've alsoalmost gotten the thyroxine out of my system so I'm starting to feel abit better. In addition, I'm back to using the liquid sublingualcompounded DHEA and starting some candida treatment, so I hope to beon the upswing soon. I DO hope the Armour T is a help for me....Ijust can't tolerate thyroxine. I have an appointment with my GP onMonday the 7th of January during which I'll approach her on financingthe Armour through the NHS. I'll utilize the letters and documentsthat the group has provided. I'll keep folks posted on how it goesfor me. D

Hi D,

Welcome to the forum and the UK. Many of us use Serenity

progesterone cream from www.progesterone.co.uk The thinking behind a

transdermal cream rather than a capsule is that most goes into the skin,

more than gets past the digestive process which destroys most that gets

swallowed. www.wholehealthproducts.com is a useful supplier of supplements

as is www.biovea.com .

Good luck with getting Armour on the NHS many docs have never heard of it!

My alternative care doctor is very convinced that using bio-identical hormone

creams are important to keep the body balanced and free from disease, especially

as we age. I have been using creams that are compounded for about 3 years. I

guess from what I have been reading here, they are not recommended. Many

alternative health care providers recommend them as part of a healing program,

along with diet and supplements. Could you please tell me why you have come to

your conclusion and where you got your information. I want to weigh this matter

carefully since this is such a big issue for myself and many other women. We do

lose hormones as we age, so by using hormones bio-identical to the body, would

it not be just like giving the body what it needs, like a supplement. Any good

books or material that I could read? Most info. out there is more and more pro

using hormone creams.

Thanks.

Thanks.

+++Hi

Some of my information is from medical textbooks on how the body works, but I

mainly got information from Life Without Bread by Christian B. , Ph.D. and

Wolfgang Lutz, M.D. because of how simply hormones are explained. I recommend

you read it - choose your country first:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/amazon2.php

Taking nutrients in supplements is very different than taking hormones because

of how much hormones interfere with normal body processes as explained in the

reference Ed gave you.

Aging is a natural process too, and like all life on Earth we all die

eventually. How fast you age depends upon whether you are getting all of the

nutrients your body needs to maintain its health in spite of the aging process

and other factors like stress.

That's why I recommend you do these things in order to follow Nature's Laws on

Health:

1) Consume " proper nutrients " (Bee's diet plus supplements which provides all of

the nutrients any Human needs in order to be healthy).

2) Eliminate toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and

cancer).

3) Eliminate damaging foods.

4) Eliminate toxins in general.

I also write: Do Not Push or Overwhelm Your Body

" More is not better! " You can overwhelm your body by over-treating it, and by

taking too much of a good thing, which can stop or slow down natural healing

processes. One of the important keys to healing naturally is not to push the

body.

If you do too many treatments, exercise too much, take other unnecessary

supplements, herbs, hormones, drugs, etc. your body becomes confused and

overwhelmed because " too much is being pushed at it " so it is not as able to

heal like it should.

" Proper nutrients " (diet plus only the supplements recommended) are what heals

the body because they provide the body with what it requires in order to heal

itself naturally the way Nature intended. So they need to be consumed

consistently and for long enough in order to become healthy.

For that reason some direct treatments can be done to help alleviate the

discomforts of symptoms, but they shouldn't be done for long periods of time,

nor too intensely, because they can also interfere with the healing processes. "

Doctors work against all of the natural healing processes without treating the

true causes of all failing health which are:

1. Lack of the correct combination of nutrients that all humans need in order to

be healthy.

2. Lack of oxygen at a cellular level.

3. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste because of an inability of the

body to detoxify like it should.

4. Lowered vitality (energy) due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets,

losses, relationship or financial worries, being unhealthy, etc.

5. Poor " Nutritional Status " acquired from parents upon conception.

The best in health, Bee

Hi,

This is ,

Thanks for the info.  I too started the bio-identical hormones 2mo. ago.  My

last period was a lot heavier and longer than my " normal " which was two years

ago.  I'm 45.  I'm waiting for my supplements to come in this week from i-Herb.

Would taking in the supplements for a month affect my next cycle?

Thanks
