Guest guest
> > Hi all, > > I have been on this candida diet a little over two weeks now and have been following these posts and reading Bee's articles to try to figure this all out, but I just have some questions. I haven't been able to fully follow Bee's diet because I am a vegan, have been for a very long time, and I won't eat meat, eggs, or butter. I normally get my protein from nuts, beans, and soy, but I see none of these are permitted on Bee's diet. The diet I had been following for the last two weeks does permit nuts and beans and I have been including those to get protein. [snip] *** Hello Arielle It is possible Bee has signed off for the day and I wanted to give you some direction while you await her return in the morning or another moderator yet today. The vaginitis indicates candidiasis. Bee can only assist you when you are following her program completely and consuming grains, etc. are not going to allow your body to begin healing. There have been other vegans who have followed Bee's pgm and seen healing. You will have to decide if you're ready to follow it completely. I looked through our archives here to find some testimonies that might be helpful and inspiring to you by searching on 'vegan': < /message/100715> This post is written by a person who was formerly vegan. < /message/88481> The above link is to Bee's view on getting healthy and following a vegetarian or vegan diet. < /message/102205> The above link is by , one of our moderators who used to follow a vegetarian way of living. There are plenty of other posts if you search the archives as I did. I hope this is helpful to you in the meantime... , moderator
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate your response. I am definitely going to have to consider this a little more and decide if I can come off my diet now and try Bee's diet completely. I was hoping she had a modification for vegans, but based on those posts it seems there isn't. I am afraid this is my only chance to get rid of this infection, so I may have to try it. Won't I get really sick though if I begin to add as much meat into my diet as Bee suggests after about 10 years of not eating it? I tried to re-introduce fish into my diet about two years about becoming vegan but I got sick and took it out again. Should I slowly reintroduce meat if I decide to eat it agai [trimmed by moderator kl]

Should I slowly reintroduce meat if I decide to eat it again? *** This is beyond my realm so I would suggest you look back thru the archives and read posts by and Bee on this topic as I know this has been addressed here previously. I do know that Bee would say that you can't get " sick " from eating good foods like fish, or eggs. Searching back thru archives I did find this post from Bee in which she states: " +++The reason you get ill from eggs is because they are high in sulphur, which is one of the 7 most important minerals your body needs in order to detoxify itself. The same is true for omegas. Please do not blame foods or supplements for your reactions, since they are exactly what your body needs in order to detoxify and heal itself properly. +++The trick is to start with small amounts and slowly increase them, like many people, children and babies have had to do. For example: Start with 1/2 tsp of egg yolk per day and only increase the amount every 5 days or longer, so your body has time to adjust to getting something it needs so badly. Then you'll be better able to tolerate your healing symptoms. " < /message/105235> I do hope you find this helpful, , moderator
Guest guest
Hi Arielle, I used to be vegetarian (and sometimes vegan) for 16 years and I came to realize that a vegetarian diet is basically a high carb (sugar) diet which isn't at all healthy. At a young age, I developed a strong aversion to meat and I bought in to a lot of the theories about a vegetarian diet being healthy. I now know how wrong I was and that our health is directly related to everything we eat. Instead of being healthy on a vegetarian diet, my health kept deteriorating. At 20 I had fibromyalgia, by 24 I had arthritis. etc. etc. (I also had a year-long bout of vaginitis.) There really is no substitute for eating nutrient-dense foods. I know how much of a struggle it can be for you to switch to eating meat, but I highly recommend it. I now believe that the vegetarian diet caused me to go downhill so fast at such a young age. After being on Bee's diet for now for nearly 3 years, I am healthier than I've ever been. When I was debating starting Bee's diet, I, too, believed that it would be difficult to digest meat after having not eaten for so many years. The truth is that after a few bites, my canker sores felt better and my stomach *didn't* hurt for the first time in a very long time. You would definitely start adding meat slowly if you are highly reactive to it. I started with fish as my only source of protein in the beginning because I had such a strong aversion to all other meats. Next I added turkey and chicken, then finally red meat. Reactions you get from eating healthy foods like meat and eggs mean that your body is healing. Taking it slowly will help those healing reactions to not be so strong. Welcome to Bee's group! You won't regret starting this journey. It will change your life. Group Moderator > > Hi , > > Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate your response. Guest guest
Thank you so much all for your words of encouragement and your own success stories, they are very inspiring. I am going to give it my all to try to start Bee's diet slowly. I am figuring if I start with some chicken broth and maybe some egg yolk I will be able to train my body and mind (mostly my mind) to deal with the animal protein. Thanks again for all your help! > > > > Hi , > > > > Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate your response.
