Guest guest
The best thing I have found for insect bites and stings is an activated charcoal poultice. You can find info on the web on how to make one but it's pretty easy. Just put the activated charcoal on a cloth and put another piece of cloth on top of it. Dampen it and put it over the area of the bite. Activated charcoal has the ability to suck poisons out of the skin. It also works great with poison ivy, etc. For mosquito bites I usually put some activated charcoal on a Band-Aid and cover it with a piece of gauze, dampen it and put it on over the bite. Guest guest
Zack, Thanks for responding. I was given an antibiotic but haven't taken it yet. The doctor said just in case there's bacteria and it could turn into an infection, etc. I will look into the activated charcoal and appreciate your explaining how to use it.
